Led Zep and The Stones are two classic bands that spring immediately to mind.

The appeal of The Beatles will forever remain a mystery to me

    Depeche Mode!
Turman found a copy of The Graduate, and thought highly enough of the story that he made a movie he considered to be 90-percent faithful to the book.

But Turman and director Mike Nichols made one key adaptation, changing the Braddocks from WASP-y blonde characters into a dark-haired, more ethnic-looking family.

With guys the Stones are kind of an early somewhat sophisticated "alternative" scene. Amongst women it's supposed to be Mick Jagger. Rail thin, emaciated looking, and with a perpetual sneer on his mug I don't exactly see what women see in the fellow meself.

I guess I'll never get it.
As regards to Sir Mick, certainly a point in your favor!

    Itchycoo Park
    Small Faces

Over bridge of sighs to rest my eyes
    In shades of green
Under dreaming spires, to Itchycoo park
    That's where I've been

What did you do there? I got high
What did you feel there? Well I cried
But why the tears there? Tell you why
It's all too beautiful, it's all too beautiful
it's all too beautiful, it's all too beautiful

I feel inclined to blow my mind
Get hung up feed the ducks with a bun
They all come out to groove about
While I search for fun in the sun

I tell you what I'll do (What will you do?)
I'd like to go there now with you
You can miss out school(Won't that be cool?)
Why go to learn the words of fools

What do we do there? Well get high
(What will we touch there?) We'll touch the sky
But why the tears there? I'll tell you why

all members of The Rolling Stones are a little strange looking. I only like a few of their songs "It's only rock and roll" "gimme shelter" "midnight rambler" and few others.
I can not stand their song "you can't always get what you " what a meandering song and
with a choir , rock bands shouldn't use choirs. They got to funky for me in the late 70's with their "Some Girls " album.

The Stones rock from ca 1969 until 1973. That's the blues in its essence, + a variety of dope.

Gladstone: The Faces is the Small Faces in the 70s, after Rod Stewart took over as lead singer. I do agree that the Small Faces were cool, but the Faces were (possibly) cooler.

    Apart from Classics:

    Blur and Radiohead.

Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden(even though not heard a great number of their songs), but those probably fall under my Classic Rock likings. I dislike the African influences in some of the Led Zeppelin songs.Quite frankly, American Classic Rock is better in my opinion.

I don't care what anybody says. RIGHT SAID FRED, no, but I can make a list that would go on forever.
Led Zep Garbage Oasis The Clash The Stones Motorhead and The Pogues but most people would say they're Irish. And as long as we're talking about music check out Dropkick Murphy's they are punk from Boston.
