    Eugenics =/= Euthanasia.

    I actually bought some medication for the Farmacy - That's portmanteau for farm and pharmacy .

    It's some light stuff that can always come in handy, even if it is for guests.

    Still no big fan of medication though, but it may be a necessary evil.

    We try to avoid pills as far as humanly possible and tend to try a natural remedy first, whether it's stuff from herbs or various juices with the effect we like to take place (f.ex. Sauerkraut juice is awesome for constipation and cranberry juice works well on an ailing bladder). Usually 'granny remedy' works much better than the stuff from the chemist's anyway.

    There is however afflictions where one will have to go with 'conventional medicine'. For instance, if you catch something like scarlet fever or pneumonia: Sure, you can try to get rid of that herbally. But you're going to run into difficulties explaining to your employer why you're going to be off work for half a year instead of two weeks on antibiotics.

    I prefer to take natural remedies as much as possible, but some medications from natural ingredients and supplements have also advantages. It's good to research what type of medication you are taking and ask a pharmacist or a doctor. Self-medicating can be dangerous, even with over the counter medication.

    Refusing to take medicine (even at the expense of your life) isn't euthanasia. Euthanasia is where you get the doctor to kill you.

    I'm 82 and medications free so far. I love the out doors and I'm very active. I'm sure I lack some vitamins. There is a new product out there that is promising. I ordered it today to see what it does. The name is OPTIVIDA.
    I prefer something like that than gobbling up dozens of different vitamins a day in capsule and pill form.
    My wife is a vitamin gobbler.........that needs to change.............

    Gareth and I have been taking various vitamins daily since we moved into our new home.

    Gareth also drinks protein shakes cause he works out so hard. He takes really good care of himself so he can take better care of me and our kitties.
    Not all in life is at it appears to be.

    I take medicine for serious problems, but usually stay away if I have a headache or anything on the mild side.
