If You Could Change Your Ethnicity but Keep the Same Meta-Ethnicity...

If you could change your ethnicy but keep the same meta-ethnicy , what ethnicy would you want to be ? Why ? And is there a special region where you want to be a part of that ethnic ?

A would like to be a Vorpommern German for a day.
    Why :
    - I'm living in a part of the Urheimat
    - Big chance I am a Hallstatt Nordid :p
    - Genetic mix of East (Rugians) , West (Western Ethnic Germans after 1227)
and North ( Varangians , Ethnic Danes) Germanic peoples.

I would stay the way I am.

Nearly the same goes for time-travelling.

But a PERMANENT change of ethnicity, time, whatever? No need.
For that, I think, at least most reasons would be of hypocritical nature, if not all.

Changing my ethnicity for a day or a week!?...well, let me see: People have classified me as a Nordid-Borreby mix in the past. So I´ve already the best genes, haven´t I? :p

Okay okay, I confess it would be interesting to see how people would react if I´d look like one of these typical Hallstatt-Nordic scandinavian people, but it´d just not be in line with my inner feeling...

I'm entirely content with my present ethnic origin (British Isles mix with slight continental Germanic input). I'll concede, however, that the thought of wanting to be mono-ethnic has occured to me, whether it be English, Scottish, German, etc. At the end of the day, though, who I am cannot be changed, and I couldn't possibly betray the pride I take in my ethnic and cultural identity without a glaring sense of shame and hypocrisy.

I don't think I would change it at all, but if i did I would become one of those obscure north atlantic island ethnicities i.e. manx, faroese, etc. Then I would find a way to leverage it to obtain special treatment from the government, university etc.
