I'm currently reading "A Confederacy of Dunces", by John Kennedy Toole.

It's an 1960's avant garde book that is also very entertaining,(at least I think so) and that in itself makes it worthy of note imo.

The protagonist appears to have Asperger's syndrome, and the contrast between his inner and outer lives is often hilarious. My recommendation does come with the caveat that I've only read two chapters so far, but I'm told it gets even better as it goes along.

Close observation may result in feelings of horror, wonder and awe at world you find yourself inhabiting.

As for the moment, I'm reading:

I guess everyone knows about that one.

And I have read this summer:

This is a thriller of pre-WWII written from a Jewish point of view (Of course), but aside from that, it is actually an OK book.

A young woman finds herself the accused of two murders... And she know it is one in her household that is the murderer... Damdidam, it's suspense and dramatical. READ IT!

Berlin and it's fall. Written from a non-political view.

    Read:

Ian McEwan - The Comfort of Strangers

Arthur Koestler - Darkness At Noon

    Reading:

    Solzenitsyn - Cancer Ward

There was another but I have forgotten for the moment.

I read Diana Mosley's autobiography, "A Life of Contrasts". It made very good reading.

Every summer I read Singoalla by Viktor Rydberg.
It has become some sort of ritual I suppose.

(I read other books as well but most technical stuff. I'm rather boring.)

I'm rereading Cerebus by Dave Sim. I just got a hold of the first four volumes:

"Ocean is more ancient than the mountains, and freighted with the memories and the dreams of Time."
