Generally I think people should be allowed to wear whatever they want...but on the other hand, the less accommodating we make our countries to foreign migrants, the less likely they will be to come here

I see no problem with letting women wear burquas if they choose to do so, though there are situtations were they would be required to show their faces for security or identification purposes. There was another thread several months ago on burquas or headscarves in the Netherlands & whether they should be banned. The real issue isn't burquas or headscarves but the Isalmicization of Europe. But instead of addressing the real problem some people are attacking the symptoms. As long as Muslim immigrants are allowed to immigrate to Europe & receive full political & civil rights, along with any social welfare entitlements, the real issue of Islamicization will not go away, regardless of any laws regulating the wearing of burquas or headscarves.

Burqua or not - muslims have to leave. As long as the plane isn´t ready to take off it must be forbidden to wear the burqua. It harms the eyes to see human penguins run around. And it shows the discriminating character of the religion called "Islam".

Everytime I see this laughing stock I get a common feeling of tribal rage. My eyes begin to glow red and I´ve the urge to sharpen my axe...:p

I am all for it. I am generally supportive of things that increase the separation between us and them.

I'm generally for people wearing what they want. The thing about Burquas, however, is that they are so unlike western-dress, so odd to western eyes, that it can be a bit intimidating and causes mistrust or suspicion. Its part of Islamic culture and it should be encouraged, but not in western countries. Also, years ago you never used to see them. Since 9/11 some muslim women in the west began wearing them in solidarity with the islamic world, as well as to express their muslim identity in the face of growing western islamophobia.

I'm all for Burquas - just as long as its in down town kabul, not the High Street.

I voted "special circumstances," like being born in Saudi Arabia.

The thread question was about Muslim women living in Europe. Otherwise, of course they should be allowed to wear them in Saudi Arabia

    oops lol.

Okaaaay. They should be discouraged through secular culture. Here's how we de-burqa-fy them in the US:
