Ernst Zuendel needs your help - Krupp vs. Grubach - Your Turn
[quote]I received a phone call last week from the Director of the Canadian Association for Free Expression, Paul Fromm. He asked to place an ad into Community News. That is always welcome, because of the subject we print, we have a hard time getting paid advertising in the first place. Mr. Fromm sent us the ad via Rush Mail, so he would make the deadline of Community News.
To my surprise, actually, that is not the right word; I was more angered than surprised when I saw that the ad was to solicit funds to help Ernst Zuendel with the costs of the legal bills. Angered because I felt that it was a shame that Mr. Fromm has to put an ad in the paper, asking people for money. I guess I am not being fair, because I might not have all the information.
So, I apologize beforehand to those I have offended. Nevertheless, I am still going to ask that question: Why? Ernst Zuendel is paying the ultimate price. And it is quite high. He sits in a cell in a Canadian prison, isolated and even denied his herbal medicine. In a personal letter to me, just recently, he asked me to make copies to be sent to his wife, because he does not have enough money for stamps. I say this is outrageous. He is a hero and the biggest one in my book. I know that we all get these begging letters from all kinds of different people. But for crying out loud, check your priorities.
I have done so; I have cancelled numerous subscriptions to magazines and have cut out money donations to many groups. If everyone on this Patriot Letter list sends $10 to the CANADIAN ASSOCIATION FOR FREE EXPRESSION (ZUENDEL DEFENSE FUND), BOX 332, REXDALE, ON., M9W 5L3 CANADA
Ernst Zuendel will have enough stamp money for the next few years. An ad on his behalf will appear in Community News in the upcoming issue. Also, the Adelaide Institute has Zuendel again on the front-page, and you can go there to see about the Z-Gram and other things you can do to help.
So often, Harvey Taylor and I have this discussion. If we could just convince 10% of the 58 million German-Americans in the country to give us a dollar a months, we could buy a dream team for the Ernst Zuendel defense.
Please help!
