i would never sacrifice my family, in fact I would die for them.
The coward believes he will live forever
If he holds back in the battle,
But in old age he shall have no peace
Though spears have spared his limbs

    I have many Loyalties..........

I checked "Other" because 1st off, I am Loyal to Myself, to Who and.....
What I Am. I stand by My Word, freely given.
Principles, Partner/Spouse, Family, Oathed Kinsmen/Brothers, Friends, Folk, Faith? Certainly, it goes without saying.

I noticed no one else had stated Loyalty to their Government, to the Country of their Birth, to the justly Elected Officials who Lead Her.
50 years ago, I took the Oath of Service, to the United States of America,as
I entered the United States Air Force. I pledge to uphold the Constitution
and Obey all Lawful orders of My Superiors.

I left after 6 years, including Active Duty service and in the Reserves.
I'm no longer a member in Service of the USAF.
I still am Bound by the Constitution. I still Salute Our Flag.
I still proudly sing the National Anthem, of My Country of Birth.
I am Proud to be an American. Of German Ancestry, Yes.
It's another Loyalty, I will carry with me to the End.
I'm surprised, no one else who has Taken the Oath of Service remembers it.
    I Do.

These questions are difficult to imagine in the abstract.

A true test for this issue would be to have a series of hypothetical situations / scenarios where one type of loyalty was pitted against another.

I think that there are a lot of people out there who might say that their loyalty to "their people" is greater than their loyalty to "their friends" (just to take an example), but who might feel uneasy about an actual SPECIFIC scenario where those two things were set against one another.

Remember that "my people" includes traitors, degenerates etc. Would you be loyal to them too?

The people transcends the individual, and loyalty to the People could, and often do, involve opposition against the undesirables. You do not cherish a cancerous tumour even though it is, literally, your own flesh and blood. Our people should be understood as our gene pool.

The unwanted of my people should thus be shown no sympathy, they should be destroyed, is this correct?.

I think that 'unwanted' in this regard is too general a term to be used for traitors and others actively working to undermine society.

Then my point is correct, there is no point being blindly loyal to your people. It is like, as you said, being loyal to a disease in your body. The body is the people, the disease is the unwanted part, "the traitor".

    I Do.
What about when that government goes against the very Constitution that you swore to protect?

If I remember right the oath goes....'do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same....'.

Isn't that what the US Government has been doing for years???

    • Going against the Constitution in regards to the sovereignty of the United States by instituting treaties with the UN and pushing the idea of a 'North American Union'.
    • Going against and chipping away at the 2nd and 4th Amendments.
    • Going against the USC by having seizure of property laws where the State no longer has to prove that the money or property was illegally obtained.
    • Taxing American citizens WAY higher than anything the Founding Fathers ever had to pay.
    • Starting foreign wars having nothing to do with our national defense.
    • Ignoring illegal immigration and not defending Americas borders while we're being overrun (etc etc etc)

I'm loyal to the Constitution, but not the people ripping it to shreds before our very eyes.

If they're ripping up the Constitution then in my eyes they're 'Domestic Enemies' worthy of no loyalty at all.

That's the crux of the issue. Those who entered service swore an oath to The Constitution, NOT the government.

I don't think a lot of the younger guys understand the difference, and I believe that is because the difference is no longer taught in schools as it was when I was growing up.
