There was a boy in my high school who was of 1/4 or 1/2 Polish ancestry with the surname Kaczynski. He was accepted and not unpopular but would still occasionally get called a Pole. He looked very Slavic as well.

Otherwise... mother Europe is going to look like the two Americas, according to ethnics, no more clear ethnic groups, just mixes between them.

And race-mixing... that's abominable, in my opinion! Poor children... what identity are they going to have.
Well that is not really true for the USA, You have to factor in geography when considering racial and ethnic make up of the US. I travel a lot in America and it really does matter what part of the country you are at. Then there is the urban vs. rural things also. Your large urban areas in the US as in most of Europe are ethnically mixed. Just a few days ago I was complaining about how mixed the city of Boston is, yet 10 miles outside the city you have whole communities of pure English stock people. The same is true for the area I live its mostly German folk with a few English and Irish. The two most mixed places I have ever been were not even in America.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I hate ''expansionist nationalism'' ... if I (now) understand that term correctly.

Romantic nationalism defines my sensibilities well enough. I'm against expansionist nationalism also, but am sympathetic towards diaspora nationalism. There is an ethnic component to romantic nationalism too, but it's about the self-determination of a people in their own land and opposed to expansionism and imperialism.
