    Post Ethiopians and Khoisan Share the Deepest Clades of the Human Y-Chromosome Phylogeny

    The genetic structure of 126 Ethiopian and 139 Senegalese Y chromosomes was investigated by a hierarchical analysis of 30 diagnostic biallelic markers selected from the worldwide Y-chromosome genealogy. The present study reveals that (1) only the Ethiopians share with the Khoisan the deepest human Y-chromosome clades (the African-specific Groups I and II) but with a repertoire of very different haplotypes; (2) most of the Ethiopians and virtually all the Senegalese belong to Group III, whose precursor is believed to be involved in the first migration out of Africa; and (3) the Ethiopian Y chromosomes that fall into Groups VI, VIII, and IX may be explained by back migrations from Asia. The first observation confirms the ancestral affinity between the Ethiopians and the Khoisan, which has previously been suggested by both archaeological and genetic findings.

    I think group III is associated with the Eurafricans.

    Could you describe the Eurafrican type's morphology?

    This is the Natufian type, which has subsaharan elements (North Africans and Palestinians, for example, still do). This is sometimes mislabeled as a "Negroid" element but it is more generally tropical in origin.

    Denise Ferembach demonstrate little credulity to the association of the Natufians of the ouadi Fallah(Israel; terminal phase of the Natufian period)) with the Mt. Carmel samples, back in the sixties due to resorting only to some summaries of information, which lack details.
    They show anticipation to Proto-Mediterreneans.
    Another Natufian station, Ain-Mallaha(north of Lake Houlé) belongs to a more ancient layer, the resident type may have lead by either invading Proto-Mediterrenian, which may arised out of a local gracilization process to another, transitional type morphologically situated between Eurafricans and Proto-Meds, that of Nahal Oren where the first records of brachycephalics in the Near East are found.

    The Eurafrican shows some apparent affinity with Combe Capelle(high-vaulted, slight prognathy, rather steep forehead) and the Mechtids, but the absence of lambdoid flattening, the moderation of frontal bosses and less pronunciated browridges in combination with the roundening of the forehead, lets the Near Eastern Capellid move away severly from its ancestral European form and displays certain characteristics that makes this racial stock the most likely and thus relatively recent candidate as source of the Afro-Levantine Mediterreneans(contrasting the Western Meds, including with some prelimenary hesitation, the Atlanto-Mediterreneans, at least the German Megalithic and Long Barrow type; the Western Meds are probably linked to the smaller Cromagnoids of Laugerie and the Chancelids).

    Natufian = Berber?

    No, the Berber type owes more to the gracile Capsian (which derives from the Natufian and the Mechtoid). The Natufians and related types are best known from the Epipaleolithic of West Asia. It is the Eurafrican type.

    U6 lineages suggest a coastal West Asian origin for modern North Africans and Iberians.

    The Garamantes were Eurafrican race as are the Touareg today but with a wider nose and probably more black race admixture than the ancient Fezzanians. The Eurafricans are true members of the white race however.

    There's confusion about the exact meaning of the word Eurafrican but always its a plesiomorphic lepto-dolichocranial type of white.
