Upgrades
v3 Arcade v1.0.2 - Bug fixes and new features
° This release makes all games on the Arcade main page appear in the order which they were installed, regardless of whether or not it has been played. (With the newest games at the top.)
° It includes a page navigation system, allowing users to browse games by page. By default, 10 games appear per page.
° There is also a new search feature, for finding games by name/description. (Accessible through the "Search" menu in the navigation bar.)
° This release should be less CPU intensive than previous versions.
Arcade Stats Extras
All this does is add two stats to your Arcade's main page:
1) Total number of games played.
2) The length of time spent playing them.
Setting Changes
Arcade Awards are no longer displayed in the postbit, as there are now too many games. They are, however, now displayed in the member profile.

Some games ( plops, and chopper for example ) automatically submit your score, which is really annoying ( especially for fast-played games ) is it possible to turn this off, and just submit when YOU want to?
( this is extremely important to me, and I'll cut one of my fingers off for every day you don't adress this issue )![]()
No, that's how they are coded, and actually all games should be coded like this in my view. It's now encouraged within the converters' circles.Originally Posted by AWAR

Are there any games more like Super Mario or something? Mazes, RPG, stuff like that? So far the best one up there is Towerball IMO, and Pac Man.Originally Posted by AWAR

Yes, there are much better games, but their conversion hinges on two issues: the copyright and the availability of the source code. Games whose source code is freely available with permission to be modified are typically not of the best quality.Originally Posted by Scoob
The author of v3arcade plans on releasing a commercial, licensed "v3ProArcade" soon (no release date has been established yet), includingAllegedly, he has the game and copyright issue already sorted out:
- Tournaments/championships
- Team based play
- An optional, vB independent system for a standalone Arcade
- A more professional interface
- netPlay integration (multiplayer games)
- Priority support
- Rapid game releases
- Game choosing and installation through the admin CP
- Custom game releases, based on a bi-monthly vote
- Access to optional addons
- Integrated, live Flash chat
- And a ton of other stuff I'm not announcing yet.
I told him I'd pay him $1,000.- if he can get Tekken Tag Tournament multiplayer, and invents a new technology to sort the lag issue out.lol, I know you mean well, but I already know exactly what I'm going to do.Some thoughs that came to me when reading the replies of this post:
- The arcade hack needs of good games to be sold.
- You need the .FLA source file to convert games to v3 arcade
- Unless you're a game programmer, you need to download free public
FLA's (which the most are crappy or mediocre games) or you have to
convert games that don't belong to you.
- Then, you will make money from other people's games and there, i'm sure
you will have legal/finantial problems. (cause authors will claim $$ for their games if you're going to make money, or you just will have to remove their games)
- Finally, you will have to charge people for these games and...
not many webmasters will do it , or i don't think you can make profit of it
after paying licenses and commisions
so... i would suggest you this:
let the hack/games free and avoid legal problems.
Let the v3 arcade community grows ,
search the web for Sponsors and make money that way.
(just suggestions that i would do.)
Obviously, I'm not going to be selling any games written by other people without consent - people won't even need a license to access the swfs. I already have the gaming side of things sorted.![]()
