Question Classify timbersports athlete Jason Wynyard (NZL)

After recently watching a timbersports competition on TV I wondered about this guy:

    Jason Wynyard from New Zealand

Looked like an unreduced Cro-Magnoid type to me at the first glance but something strikes me as exotic. Maybe he has Maori ancestry? What's your opinion?

If he would be not from New Zealand i would have said that he has slightly Weddoid Influence. But i'm sure he had a Maori in his family then.

Well, even if his ancestry isn't actually (in part) Maori, it looks as though he has some kind of "Islander" ancestry... whether it be Samoan, Tongan or whatever, who knows? Definitely not 100% NW European though.

He definately does have Maori ancestry and has won "Maori Sportsman of the Year" at least twice as far as I'm aware.
