Now how many of those so-called "Viking/Pagan/Heathen/Folk Metal" bands really follow an Odinic path?

But at least you've made a better effort than most, since Forefather at least seem to be genuine about their beliefs from what I know. As regards Falkenbach, I am not sure because the guy is pretty particular about his privacy. Bathory for a fact was only interested but never believed in it, nor led a lifestyle of an Odinist.

If you want to find music that honours our ancestors, our faith, etc...sure a lot of the Pagan/Viking/Heathen/Folk Metal bands are a great listen to, in fact I rejoice in their music often enough myself.

But if you'd want to look for those that are serious about it, most Neofolk artists dealing with the matter are a better example to give.

A good band that sings Viking/Heathen Folk Metal is called TÝR. They are from the Fareos Islands. Some of their songs are sung in Fareos, and some in English. Fareos is the second to closest modern language to Old Norse. The first and closest being Icelandic. If you go to YouTube you should be able to sample some of their music.

Well, I know a really good and authentic Pagan folk band. Problem is, they are Slavic. :p Krynitza, check them out (despite not being Germanic).
