Gauls: A Celtic-Germanic Mix destroyed by Roman Culture

the Gauls were almost Germanic like a Celtic and Germanic mix the Romans totally destoryed them and subverted there culture
In order to build Odinism into a valid and inspiring religious expression we must overcome this tendency to trivialise divinity. The gods are not Vikings…they are spiritual beings, potent forces of numinous power"

GAULS (or continental celts) were mostly Celtic although the Belgae (Belgians) who were mixed with Germanics.

Gauls were divided in more than 100 different tribes and ruled a territory of central-westernEurope......seethe maps.

No, the Romans conquered them. They retained their tribal and social structures, but the Latin language began to spread among them (along with other aspects of Romanisation), eventually causing the extinction of the local Gaulish language.

Their descendants are alive and well in France today A large majority of the French would be descended from the Gauls.

Romanized in terms of culture certainly, but I've heard there were very very few Roman colonists there, so they didn't (significantly) change the Gauls ethnically. The Franks on the other hand...

Yes, although on the other hand, it's difficult to know exactly what Gaulish culture was like. It's quite likely that French culture has a lot more Gaulish influence than one might realise.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the Gaulish influence is at least as strong as the Roman in many respects.
