Could be Borreby , but I think you are gracialised somewhat and are more likely Alpinid
Central European, Alpine
Are you going by how he named the pictures? In any case, Gorid is definitely possible.

I doubt that a low skulled alpinised Berid in Western Europe (let's say mainly in Southern France and Northern Spain) is related to an "Alpinid" like him. I believe it is a matter of parallel evolution from stocks that are brachycephalised. Thus, we can see a process of Alpinisation.
Alpinid in Bavaria seem to me (and even R Nordenstreng hinted that) a reduced Phalian. We should see if the difference of these individuals with their neighbours is merely the Cephalic Index or something else too.

Is it something to do with the relation between the distance between top of head and ear cavity, and ear cavity and chin?

Yes, that the head height is low, not great. Top of the head to the ear cavity, that is right. But it is measured on the crania as it is very difficult on the living and it is a relation, an index is often used, the Height-Length Index, thus the relation of the height to the length of the skull, so to determine low or high skulledness of an individual.
