Horse hockey. The left simply cant be trusted with power or freedom of any sort.
Children aren't given freedom and until recently neither were women for the same reason.
    The left are essentially both.
They'll simply abuse it and destroy the nation they parasite off of.
Households aren't democracies and our nations shouldn't be either.

I do sympathise with what you’re saying. Western society has been on a downward trajectory ever since feminists started shrieking for special treatment.

Our sin was to listen to this stupid, vocal minority.

Though I’ll respectfully disagree about freedom of expression. You can’t trust any government (left or right) with the right to determine what speech is bad speech. They’ll keep claiming more and more power, and censor everyone. I’m sure we can agree the North Korea is not a nation anyone should aspire to.

Owing to the poisonous thoughts of some it is self-evident the we should censor thought. It is the simple truth that some people should not be permitted to be heard. The right to speak one's thoughts ought to be earned and granted. Poisonous and harmful thought must be obliterated for the good of our peoples.

I certainly support a degree of artistic censorship such as restrictions on sex, violence and gore.

It's actually not bad, though I think the caveats in Part 2 about preventing 'disorder' and protecting 'morals' need fully clarifying. I've never heard of anyone being found guilty of something for making reasonable political statements; they usually get into trouble for being insulting or inciting violence. The problem is that employers, publishers, broadcasters etc. are allowed to have political biases, but I've heard it's the same in America.

Have not yet voted.... and before doing that wants to ask where goes the line between censorship and brainwashing (= agenda/target to influence people's minds)?

    The first section is perfect.

The second section completely negates everything in the first.

    Waste of paper.

With the necessary exception of national security issues, and the public display of obscene materials, I am strictly opposed to government censorship.

Censorship at the private level is a right. Parents have a right to determine what their children have access to, for example.
Not all in life is at it appears to be.

I definitely agree, and I wouldn't trust most librarians or teachers to recommend good, wholesome books for children. It's very sad that schools and libraries cannot be trusted to abide by community standards of morality and decency, and that associations like the ALA (American Library Association) defend seriously substandard, obscene literature.
