Man kidnapped a girl as a girl had been coming back to home after hers shift in cafeteria (summer job).
Police finally found the disappeared girl 5 days later after intense searching ... dead & naked. Some rumors said, not in one piece.
Once the suspect was proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in a court of law that they perpetrated such a heinous crime, I would want to witness their execution by the State. This would not bring my child back to me. But it would provide at least some closure for me.

Oh, police found a suspect. He was 35 years old foreigner man (not Swedish).

There were some evidences and finally DNA tests proved that. He had killed a girl by taping her mouth and then slowly hanged her. Police found lots of violent sadistic porn material from man's house. From the beginning man's idea had not only been to make sexual violences but also murder her. Because of that he got life imprisonment. In Sweden that means minimum:
18 years, but parole hearing may be held after 10 years served, thus fixing a much later date for release on parole,

I admit, I'm not very religious person ... and I wonder what are ''the rights'' of that kind of cruel human to live? One, who directly enjoy watching the sufferings of others?

If the "suspect" in such a brutally violent crime is proven to be the actual perpetrator, they should be executed.

Such monsters have no place in normal society, where they would always prove to be a violent menace.

In a democracy, the only rights any of us have are those we vote for (in theory). The majority decides what is good and bad, and that can change over time.

If a person is a real danger to society then he or she must be kept separate in a prison or other secure place. But should they be killed? I think that the relatives of a murder victim should decide if the murderer is executed and one of them should push the button or pull the trigger if they want the revenge. If they want to give mercy to the murderer then so be it - it should not be the decision of the state.

Yes, but I think that it shouldn't be abused. This might sound one-dimensional but some people either can't, or don't want to be helped and therefore present a constant risk to society.

Prison cell of the last woman hanged in the UK recreated in London

    ]

ON EASTER SUNDAY 1955, 28-year-old Ruth Ellis fired four bullets at point-blank range into David Blakely outside the Magdala pub in Hampstead, London. Having killed her abusive lover, Ellis was arrested and taken to Holloway Prison to await trial for murder. Alone in jail, she found peace, says Irish artist Christina Reihill, whose upcoming London exhibition Glad I Did It recreates Ellis’ prison cell and invites its audience into the mind of the last woman to be hanged in the UK.

    Captivated

Working as a journalist in London in the 1980s, Reihill was one day contacted by a friend who’d been in touch with an Irish man who’d worked with Ruth Ellis at the Little Club in Knightsbridge, which Ellis managed. Although this “bloke could remember very little”, recalls Reihill, “it was the first time that I learned about this lady, Ruth Ellis.” Though captivated, it would be another 30 years before the journalist-turned-artist returned to Ruth Ellis, to a trial that divided a nation.

As Reihill puts it, her own life “was filed away into disaster”. Alcohol abuse and drug use meant she went from “Condé Nast to handing out leaflets in strange parts of London.” But last year, following a show she’d staged celebrating American writer Dorothy Parker, Reihill says that she sat back in the seat of a friend’s car and heard Ellis’ name whispered in her head. “I’d just put the last bloody prop away and my head was mangled. Mangled.” Reihill set about researching Ellis’ life and the events leading up to her killing Blakely.

Here was a tragic story, says Reihill.
In order to get two pennies together she was either on her back or serving drinks. It was a non-stop frenetic life from the age of 14 when she left school. Born in 1926, Ellis worked as a hostess, prostitute and model. While managing the Little Club, she met David Blakely with whom she began a tempestuous relationship, Blakely causing Ellis to miscarriage after he punched her in the stomach. The pair continued to see each other despite Ellis’ relationship with Desmond Cussen, from whose flat she left on the 10 April 1955 in pursuit of Blakely. At 9:30pm, as he emerged from the Magdala with his friend Clive Gunnell, Ellis called to Blakely whom she shot at point-blank range, killing him. Stunned, she was arrested immediately.

Ellis’ subsequent case captivated the UK and renewed the death penalty debate. Her trial lasted one day, her fate sealed when asked by the Prosecution what she intended to do when she fired the revolver at close range. “It is obvious when I shot him I intended to kill him,” she replied. Since 1955, there have been numerous campaigns seeking a posthumous pardon for Ellis.
Ellis’ time in her condemned cell – and questions surrounding desire, grief and true love – are what artist Reihill chose to focus on. “It’s obvious that the condemned cell is her mind,” she says.

    Profoundly offensive?

Having gathered “every single piece of information” from Ellis’ time at Holloway Prison, Reihill says she set about recreating her time spent in her prison cell. Recorded by prison wardens, Ellis’ day-to-day life while awaiting trial were not what one might expect from a condemned prisoner, says Reihill.
She is reading. She’s is sleeping. She’s chatting. She’s receiving guests. People appear to meet her as if she were having them for tea. Featuring prison files, psychiatrist notes and diary entries, Glad I Did It allows visitors to step inside Ellis’ mind in the lead up to her death and examine what led her to murder Blakely.

Layout of Ruth Ellis' recreated prison cell.

With the use of audio recordings, Reihill’s installation – which runs at Bermondsey Project Space in London from 14 November to 1 December – seeks to explore the psychology surrounding Ellis’ action, which led to her hanging on 13 July 1955. On the ground floor, says artist Ellis, visitors to Project Space will enter Ellis’ “condemned cell”. Over three gallery floors of 1950s set pieces – including the hanging rope and trapdoor – Glad I Did It allows the audience to make up their own minds about Ellis’ actions, says Reihill.

I’m not taking a moral position. I’m entirely focused on her mind.

The audience will be divided, though.

Some might find it profoundly offensive. For others, it makes sense.

Hmmm. "Which she claimed was done in self defense to protect herself from sexual abuse."

Was this simply unproven hearsay on the part of the alleged victim of sexual assault. Or wasn't time taken by the authorities to prove she was actually violated?

I suppose in that part of the world, women are indeed treated as second class citizens; as opposed to here in the West where we're experiencing preferential treatment of women in such matters.

In such a circumstance our ancestors would have enacted their own retribution. One cannot rely upon a judicial system. The blood feud has much to commend it.

China’s ‘Jack the Ripper’ executed for rape & murder of 11 women and girls

A serial killer known as China’s ‘Jack the Ripper’, who killed 11 people – the youngest being only eight years old – has been executed, a Chinese court has announced.

Gao Chengyong, a married father of two who ran a grocery store in Baiyin, China, killed his victims (women and girls) between 1988 and 2002. He received the gruesome nickname for the way he mutilated the bodies of his victims.

The killer targeted young women wearing red and followed them home, where he would rob, rape, and murder them. In several cases, Gao also cut off parts of his victim’s reproductive organs. His youngest victim was eight years old.

Dating back 30 years, the string of murders was left unsolved until police were literally handed the evidence they needed to crack the case.

Gao was unmasked after his uncle provided a DNA sample to police while being processed for a minor crime. The sample revealed that he was related to the elusive killer, and a subsequent investigation led to Gao’s arrest.

In March 2018, the Baiyin City Intermediate People’s Court sentenced Gao to death after he was found guilty of homicide, robbery, rape, and dishonoring corpses.

In a statement released after his sentencing, the court denounced Gao’s “perverted desire to dishonour and sully corpses”and described his actions as “despicable.” It’s not clear how the execution was performed, although China typically uses lethal injection or a firing squad to carry out death sentences.

The original Jack the Ripper is believed to have murdered and mutilated at least five women in east London in 1888. The string of heinous killings was never solved.

The British Government knew who Jack the Ripper was - and protected him, because of their own connections to him... Just like they did with Jimmy Saville.

China’s ‘Jack the Ripper’ executed for rape & murder of 11 women and girls 03 01 2019.

Give the people a say, every decade have a referendum on Capital Punishment for murder.
