Hehehe... 32ºc isn't hot! :p In summer, anything below 37ºc is a lovely cool day for us. And 42/43ºc isn't uncommon....

Our winter max is quite variable... anywhere from 18 - 25ºc.

In the interior part of Alentejo(a south region of Portugal) temperature reaches 49ºc.

Great idea, Blaxis, seeings how I'm a thorough and complete weather nerd. I'm even a cooperative weather observer for the National Weather Service (Burlington, Vermont office).

We've had a fairly mild fall so far (though not nearly as warm as points to the south and west of here)--but the past three days have been much more seasonable, albeit wet, glooomy and dank. They're even talking about a little snow for my elevation come Satrurday night. We shall see!

Anyway, today is foggy, overcast drizzly and about 50 degrees F.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night to remove the air conditioner from my window, close the window, and then I went and got my spaceheater.

Three days ago 4 people died in the Chicago marathon because of 90 degree heat, and the race was cancelled, today I shiver and can see my breath when I go outside. Typical Chicago weather. I'll probably be drinking Corona under a palm tree this afternoon.

Bah! Portugal is a land of wusses!! Many parts of Australia reach over 50ºc. :ner-ner0: (I won't mention that not many Aussies are stupid enough to live those areas... )

    Rain, hail, sleet, snow ...

At least the sun still dignifies to peek out some of the time, in order to alleviate the misery.

In a couple of months it will be dark about 20 hrs per day, with only the time between 12-16 being some kind of almost-twilight.

Autumn has bashfully started to kick in, in the tropical island of Athens.

Well today it's sunny again, but during the weekend we had the first cloudy skies and showers.

The temperature is now approx. +21 Celcius under the sun, but in the early morning and in the evening it gets cooler (around +13 Celcius).

Weather forecasts say that we're expected to have some more summer days (+25 Celcius and above) before the temperature falls for good (around November).

    edit:

Photos of the saturday night storm in Athens, taken by a University Student (copy the links and paste them into new window) - and yes, storms are so rare that we photograph them here eyes: :p

This morning (prior to sunrise) it was frosty and -1, but the day is mild and sunny, and tomorrow it's expected to be 25 degrees celcius.

    Up and down as usual

A rather cold and damp day. It's cloudy and just 11.9 celcius (humidity is 94%)
It's not expected to change much: with a bit of luck we might reach 15 celcius according to the local weather station.
