    Question Books vs Internet?

I am interested to know where most people acquire knowledge this days. (also pictures)
Is it through the internet or books (or other written media, TV, docu's etc)
I personally prefer books. I have a feeling that the majority of people use their sources for posting, from the internet. Although it is a handy way of finding information I find it somewhat unfullfilling Just old fashioned I guess...
...also another query...does anybody actually manually handwrite letters (documents etc) anymore? (Are pen sales down & ink cartridges up? ha ha...oh I forgot...nobody even sends letters with a postage stamp anymore...they send email )
Are we to become a race of long fingered, googled eyed freaks someday?
Not in our lifetime...but it is coming..

I prefer books too. But the internet is fast and efficient for gathering info. Saves trees too from being cut down for paper.

I hand wrote Vanessa a letter recently. She said it would be fun, then after I send it, she says she never sends letters she writes.

Actually, your statement about saving the trees is quite valid. ...but what about the electricity we are using for our computers...?ha ha Everything humans do seems to conflict with the natural balance of the earth.

Depends on the energy source. There are better ones than we are using. But it's all about profits. Nothing else matters.

Hemp can make paper. That's why its illegal for industrial use. So politicians can get money into their pockets.

Has anyone ever told you that your sentences are choppy? :giggle (I'm sure it's alright, though my English teacher could cure you of that problem! )

Books are more reliable, and fun to read! Unlike many people of my generation I grew up with them, so I don't think I'll ever change my thoughts about this. Computers are fun for play, but when it comes to serious learning, you just can't beat books!

My understanding of English is likely better than yours. Writing as I do here is more interesting to read.

Choppy sentences get the point across. Most people in the real world (outside of English class) are distracted and stupid - so simplicity and repetition is key - as early 20th century propagandists and modern advertising executives understand well.

Actually, good language skills are key to success in life. So pay attention to your English teacher.
