    Bier!

"Gutmann Weizenbock", is my most favourite beer. I generally enjoy wheat beer the most because it means home, tradition and great taste to me. After "Gutmann" beers, i like "Franziskaner" Weizen, "Tucher" and "Paulaner" Weizen! All of them are just fantastic beers. I must not forget "Schöfferhofer Weizen", as well.

I hardly drink other kinds of beer, but sometimes i enjoy Pils. Altbier or Kölsch is the worst beer in the world. The Prussians dont have good beers

Ah, and i have to add, that i like exquisite Met, as well. There are cheap kinds, but they dont taste very good: the earlier you taste to concrete alcohol the lower the quality of the Met is, i suppose. I once had a bottle i bought at a Medieval Market in Zons, i drank it in so small steps because it was just so good: there was a very special taste, it had a certain development on my tongue, hard to describe, actually. I think it is a charactertrait of good wine that it has no concrete but a differentiated, more complex taste. I dont really like red wine (yet?).
But well, this is only one point of why i like Met, there is an ideologic point in it, too: i personally ally Met with a kind of archaic heroism of our Ancestors i feel the need to salute to. Did you read what Tacitus wrote about our Ancestors, about their drinking habits almost 20 decades ago!? I know an incredibly strong feeling of faszination, admiration and pride but longing and grieve, as well in my bosom when i think of the myriads of battles fought, of the myriads of men who had a honourful idea to die for, of the great history of our people, our land; and i like to crown these hours of commemmoration with a cup of honey wine.

    AW: What's your favourite alcohol?

Baccardi Cola, Ramazotti and, sometimes on special events, a little bit beer.

    Favorite Alcoholic Beverage

What is your favorite alcoholic beverage? I have been drinking and the idea has struck me to ask my fellow Germanics what their preferred form of alcohol may be.

    My top picks are:

    1. Jaegermeister - Wonderful when served ice-cold...could drink a whole bottle.

    2. Captain Morgan's Rum - Gives me a pirate-y New World feeling.

    3. Any Vodka but Stolichnaya! - Stoli makes me want to die but on a whole Vodka is a good time. A very warm drunkenness...suppose it comes in handy in cold Russian winters.

    4. Yuengling Lager - First beer distillery in America and has stood the test of time for a reason. It's a local beer in Pennsylvania.

    5. Molson Canadian - First beer distillery in North America. Once again it has stood the test of time. I am newer to Molson but so far it has been pretty good.

I like Ebblwoi (Hessian Cider) It's much stronger and you taste the apple more than in Cider. The blue blue painted jug is called "Bembel".

    Here a picture - it's a traditional drink here:

Then of course alot of german beer brands. Mostly also the unknown ones,
because alot of 10 beer-brands in germany who are not very well-known taste very great! Sometimes even better than known brands.

Concerning Schnapps and Likör i like Jägermeister and Kräuterhexe

I also love german wine from the "Rhön"-Area in Germany. But also some french wines from Lorraine/Lothringen.

Sometimes i also drink a cocktail, but that's quite rare.

    Gruß,

North American beer (like Molson) tastes like pee. It's disgusting. I hate it. ^^

I guess my favourite beers would be Beck's (cheap and good), Newcastle Brown, and Boddingtons.

I do like Stoli actually but my favourite vodka is Finlandia.

    And I like mead.

I knock back a few lagers most days. My favourites are all the common Finnish ones except that chemical-tasting dishwater Karjala, as well as Heineken. I also like German wheat beers and English and Irish ales.

I'm not a huge fan of wine, but I can guzzle down a bottle with a nice dinner (preferably prepared by yours truly). White or red, depending on the food. I mostly prefer Californian wines.

I never drink any mixed drinks. All of the hard stuff comes in shots for me. Vodka (Stoli, Ruskii Standart) or Kossu (Finnish vodka), gin (yes, I drink gin dry -- and ice-cold).

My favourite whisky is Laphroaigh but I limit myself to one bottle a year of the stuff. Most of the whisk(e)y I inbibe will be J&B or Jameson. Btw I really dislike Jack, Jim and all the other American whiskeys.

I also like cheap-ass Spanish brandies as well one of Blaxis's faves, Metaxa. No fancy-pants French cognac for me, thank you.

    Others:

    Apfelkorn

    Gammel Dansk

Bristol Cream and some other ports

Riga Balsam, a.k.a. Black Death :p
