Swedish ostkaka (a version of cheesecake)

    Ostkaka

You can eat it raw, I always do that. Or you can choose to have it in the oven and have strawberryjam and cream to it.

My fav dessert of a Germanic country would be Apple Crumble (England).

I remember making some in year 7, if you serve it warm/hot with proper vanilla ice cream (white, not that horrible yellow stuff) it's yummy (and that goes for apple pie as well).

I'm not so keen on desserts as such, but I love all the traditional British cakes such as Chelsea Buns, Lardy Cake, sweet and savoury scones etc. They're not always that easy to find where I live as continental patisserie shops are more fashionable. I'm very fond of Cream Teas :-)

Black forest cake (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) , I love chocolate, cream and cherries, it has always been one of my favourite desserts.

I also love Oslokringle. It is so delicious I have made seasonal variations to it! This is the one Germanic dessert where I mix tradition and creativity for I love it way too much to eat it only at Yule. I have created a recipe where I added cinnamon and serve it at Ostara, decorated with solar symbols and runes made of minced almonds and where I replace sugar with honey.

And I agree with Hersir on strawberries with sugar and cream. It is a dessert my mother would make every summer when I was a child. So simple yet such comfort food!
