I love braids, they look traditional, especially with long, blonde hair (be it ash, platinum, golden or dirty blond). Long hair and braids are also now back in fashion, especially the bohemian style, as Blod og Jord mentioned. Ombre, highlighted or lowlighted hair, as well as hair with multicolored streaks looks good braided.

What do you women think of man braids, like these ones?

I like this style, but it seems to complicated to do by oneself...

Hair braiding on men? I like it, especially on the man in the picture, it fits him well. Obviously like long hair it won't fit every face shape and every man, but it's a good style. Actually the old Germanics used to have long hair and braid it (and their beards sometimes too). It looks good on those men:

I guess it works best with a long, oval or rectuangular face shape.

    How about pigtail hair?
    * Do you think those belongs to kids only ... even these kinds of ''low'' pigtails?
    * Do you think those looks bad?

Just asking that as I might be only person here who uses those too ... time to time. It is easy, quick (= suits well to my active lifestyle ... I'll need to wash my hair even too often), and at winter time with some warm woolen cap? Much more practical vs braids etc.

Pigtails are girly, but at your age they're quite nice/normal. I wore braided pigtails when I was your age too. But they can also look good on women over that age, it gives a rustic air. Nice for a summer day They can look good with very long hair, I like this style

I also like partially braided hair

    Thanks Sól .

In the end ... why listening others too much ? If I feel ok/comfortable with pigtails then why not use those time to time? Besides I'm a country side girl ... a forest girl/nature girl.

Once a one stranger drunken older man went to call me ''naughty school girl'' (in Vasa city) ... because of my pigtails. But I guess there are some idiots ... always.

Oh ... I simply love these! Looks like I still need to grow my hair a bit ... LOL.

I still wear pigtails and I'm 28 Now my hair is shorter so I wear something like this

I still feel young on the inside eventhough I have three children now... I'm looking forward to braiding my daughters' hair.

I have very long hair and I keep it braided almost all the time, or in a bun or braid bun, otherwise it would get really messy. On special occasions, or when I feel like it, I leave it loose.

I love ponytails too, but I like it braided better.

I usually keep it something like this, but with only one braid, and my hair is much more longer. And I do it after my hair dries, not when it's wet.

After seeing what nice braids you posted here, I think maybe I should try more types of braids on my hair, hehe, I guess my future boyfriend/husband will love it. Otherwise I feel very fine with my hair as it is.

I view hair braiding as a feminine style. I'm leaving my hair grow longer so I can braid it more. I also like the combination between braids and buns. Some styles I like:
