Just out of here. The Netherlands as a civilised society is in rapid decline but I am not sure yet on where I should go. I could consider Norway or Belgium (Flanders or Brussels)... but Australia or New Zealand seem nice too.

Here people talk about moving to Australia because it is similar to NZ but has higher wages. When my friend asked me if I was thinking of going there I just replied with "it's TOO HOT!"

Yes, quite often. I lived in London for a while, and the last thing I wanted to do was return to Canada. If I'm to go back though, it would be somewhere closer to my family in the Birmingham area.

Maybe to another English speaking country. Ireland is the only one I'd seriously consider really, as far as a place that would be better than the US to live and work in, but in my career field it will be much easier to find a job in the US. If language wasn't a barrier, Norway would be my choice hands down. When I retire I'll consider moving to another country, though if or which one is too hard to predict 40 years into the future. For all the faults I find with the US, almost everywhere else is worse.

I'm planning to move to Europe to work and live sometime in the future. My choices are the UK, Germany, France, or Austria. They are expensive countries to live in, but if I get a job I'll go through with it. I like the attitude of people much better, the fashion and health conciousness etc. and I just feel I'll be happier being there. From the time I came back here from Sweden last June until now all that's been on my mind is going back to Europe. If the company decides somewhere else, I wouldn't mind but those are my top choices. I would just like a different environment in general. It's my nature. So, in conclusion, my makeup makes me being an immigrant almost inevitable. Maybe it's the military lifestyle growing up...

I've considered, and still are considering moving to Europe; in particular, Italy or Germany/Austria.

I'll eventually move to somewhere in Europe, I'm not entirely sure as of where yet though. My decision will probably have a great deal to do with what country my husband is from (I don't date Americans), so we'll see . I'd definitely prefer some place that is predominately Catholic, but there are still other things that take precedence to that. Wherever it may be it definitely won't be a big city as I wouldn't want to raise my kids around multicultural bs, and that seems to be a lot more prevalent in larger cities.

I am originally from Germany (born and raised, citizenship and family too), so I don't consider it immigration to move back. So no, I haven't.

I've often considered. Not because of the "i'm sick of the immigrants here..." reason i often hear, because i know there are going to be just as many problems in almost any country i go to. Plus i love my homeland too much to run away if it really did come to the crunch.

But i really do like the idea of living in a country that still has a wild heart. Places like Sweden and Norway, which are very advanced in the populated areas, but still have huge swathes of untamed forests and mountains to disappear into, seem like heaven to me.

So having said that, the scandinavians countries, Canada, and South Africa would be my choices.

I'd also love to visit Australia and New Zealand, and plan on doing so soon, but i couldn't imagine living there.

Oh, believe me, there are places that even you would consider "too Catholic". Austria, especially Tyrol is one of them for instance. You sometimes even get the population stubborn enough to petition against the erection of a standard grocery shop on the basis of it being too close to the church. eyes:
