If I moved it would be to Norway, I know some musicians out there so I would already have some friends.

    How could you say no?

Although, wouldn't be bad living there. Edinburgh is much more beautifull than Glasgow (imo)

Why can't France be empty? Then all the rational preservation-minded folk could live there. The French could be exported to Canada :p

For Law, Aberdeen is recently better. And has been known for its Law School all over Europe for a good few years.

Of the four main cities, at 3% non-white population, Aberdeen is most unscathed again. Extra-European ethnicities are however still a more common sight than back home in Austria, and there are proportionately more people from minorities on campus than off it.

I am a Gastarbeiter in Russia, so I suppose you could say I've already made my choice!

Outside the RF, Minsk is one of the nicest cities I've been to lately, and the Belarussians are wonderful. It's a shame the country isn't a bit more mountainous and has no coastline... :o

I will of course go Home one day, mind!

    ...one day.

I go through frequent phases of wanting to go live in the USA or Canada. Mainly because they speak English there and from what I hear there is still real wilderness in places in North America. I've never felt quite the same about Australia, I don't know why, I'd like to visit it but would not like to live there. New Zealand though maybe.

I also have a sort of daydream of just buying a huge tract of land in some country where arable land is cheap and planning permission processes are easy, building a house and raising a family in near total isolation. I guess though that is madly romantic.
A* I’m a dreadful reactionary, Mrs. Helena. I don’t like this progress one bit.
    H* Like Nana.
A* Yes, like Nana. Does Nana have a prayer book?
    H* A big fat one.
A* And are there prayers in it for various occurrences in life? Against storms? Against illness?
H* Against temptation, against floods -
A* But not against progress, I suppose?
    H* > I think not.
    A* That’s a shame.

As probably somebody know here, i live since 19 years in Germany. My father is a engineer and at that time he gets a option from his company to move to South France or to Germany. So he choose Germany. ;-)
My 4 years older Brother stays in Portugal because of his studies. It was hard for me to "lose" him... Btw. i could have a German pass since years but i don´t see a reason (EU blabla...) to get it. I´m portuguese and stay portuguese till i die.
    Viele Menschen sind zu gut erzogen, um mit vollen Mund zu sprechen;
aber sie haben keine Bedenken, dies mit leeren Kopf zu tun.

I once spent 3 months on exchange in Trondheim, Norway. It certainly is a beautiful place (and an expensive one ). However, not being able to speak the language was a bit of a bar to real communication, and I felt I was imposing on everyone by having to make them speak English when talking to me.

There is also the question (for me) of the legitimacy's of being an interloper in an ethnically foreign nation-state. I don't think I could live under those conditions for any extended period of time.

Realistically, if I was to emigrate anywhere (which I think I won't) it would probably be to Australia, Canada, or just possibly New Zealand.

If I were to leave Finland, I'd relocate either in Denmark or some large city in northern Germany: Hamburg, Berlin, etc.
