Post Teutonic, Germanic and Norse (Male & Female) Baby Names

I was responding to the Schroeder thread that brought up Aryan birthrates, and it got me thinking about my own future children that I hope to have. I am Scandinavian/German and wish to marry a woman who is the same, and I am going over possible names. Here are the ones I am considering so far:

For boys: Günther/Gunnar, Volker, Rainer/Ragnar, Walther, Siegfried/Sigurd, Wolfgang, Hermann, Ernst, Ulrich, Wagner, and Adolf

For girls: Halfrieda, Siegfrieda/Sigfrida, Ingeborg, Ingrid, Ilse/Else, Elke, Isolde, Svanhilde, Freya/Freja, and Ulrika

I refuse to give my children Christian/Jewish names
So if anyone has any other Norse or German names that sound good, feel free to reply!

Well my name is not nordic, but I feel nordic in spirit

Yeah of course you would love your own name, Hellstar :entertain

Good choices of names mostly, there are some names I like too.
I have always liked more formal names and I don't like it at all to be called by my nickname. I want to be called by my full name unless you think you can get away with it, actually I left a boyfriend once because he kept calling me my nickname and it got so annoying I couldn't take it any more hehehe...... (but there were other reasons too!)

Oh well. I want to pick more original names than my own for my children, and I want them to be Nordic/German in origin. I had some picked out a while back but my feelings have changed about it and so the names are still up in the air. But I can put together a list of names that sound nice to me along with their meanings

I had a list somewhere of names I liked but I don't know where it went so guess I have to start over. I will get you a huge list of German/Nordic names and I keep adding to it.

    ELLA (my grandmother) or Edel
HANS (on of my Swedish ancestors)

SVEA The Swedish Nation F Nordic
    SKYLAR Learned One E Nordic

Don't take this list to mean all that much, I know some very pretty German and Nordic names let me just find them first or try to remember them when I'm not so tired. I"M SO TIRED!!!!!

I'm really sorry Hellstar! I accidentally edited your post, I meant to press quote and must have pushed edit.
So I wrote my response to you and then it got posted under your name; and I thought what the fuck, so then I deleted it, and I can't get it back any more! :

But if I do something wrong I will always own up to it.....

I know that not all names sound good, thats why I asked Jörg about German names, he already told me what names sound bad in German. It has a lot to do with the culture also.

    Thanks Hellstar

When I have kids I was thinking of either naming them after the Runes, or after deities or some mythological heroes/heroines.
