    I envision a world where people dawning long white robes and elaborate headdresses run rampant down the streets, waving their arms in the air while screaming "we've gone mad, we've gone mad", like defrocked monks breaking the silence of ages past.

    Hmmm, back in the 1970s, I saw a Piper Cub, (light plane), land atop a VW Camper bus at the summit of Independence Pass.

    Independence goes between Twin Lakes and Aspen, Colorado, summit at 12,000+ feet. (4,000 meters, for you Euros)

    The little plane wasn't supercharged, and had lost almost all power from the breathtaking altitude, as it squeaked over the top of the pass, so it did an emergency landing, trying for the highway, but landing atop an old Westphalia bus.

    No injuries, but I bet that was one surprised VW driver!
