    Strangest Thing You Ever Saw?

Once a very few years back I was at a park and I saw a fellow walking his pet Emu on a string. That's strange. Probably this Emu was a refugee from one of the many Emu farms in Texas that did not make it in the late 80's and 90's. Anyway, after stopping a moment to see this fine bird a roller blader carreens on down from atop a hill and before anyone can get out of the way runs smack dab right into the Emu. When this happened this Emu honked and jumped a good ten or fifteen feet straight up into the air; other than the Emu and roller blader being quite shook up by the whole thing everyone was A-Ok afterwards.

    Very, very, strange.

So, out there in Skadiland, what's the strangest thing you've ever seen? No cheating, this has to be something seen in person!

Turman found a copy of The Graduate, and thought highly enough of the story that he made a movie he considered to be 90-percent faithful to the book.

But Turman and director Mike Nichols made one key adaptation, changing the Braddocks from WASP-y blonde characters into a dark-haired, more ethnic-looking family.

Um, Gladstone? That's not an emu, that's an ostrich.

    Ostrich:

    Emu:

strangest thing... that I can think of at the moment:
While waiting in heavy traffic on the interstate/highway, on the bridge. (North Carolina road construction), I look down to a KFC, and what do I see running from behind the building?

LOL. Well, the website it came from is based in Australia (where Emu's are indigenous) and the image came up in a search of "Emu". Yes, I questioned it's appearance as similar to the Ostrich when I saw it (the heighth, but then again Emus can and do grow to 6 ft) but figured the Aussies knew their birds.

I may change it out. Ty.

Yeah, NOW it is. He changed it. He had an image of a woman riding an ostrich.

I can't even look at those pictures.

Weird that this subject came up, because just yesterday my friend and I were driving through downtown and we came up to a stop in traffic. It seemed like the car ahead of us had stalled or something, but then when it finally moved, we saw that in front of it there was a man just standing in the middle of the road, facing left and staring...just staring. People were yelling and honking at him but he barely registered. He wouldn't move. I almost died laughing. So absurd.
I envision a world where people dawning long white robes and elaborate headdresses run rampant down the streets, waving their arms in the air while screaming "we've gone mad, we've gone mad", like defrocked monks breaking the silence of ages past.

Spoonblade: Sharper than a knife and twice as deadly.

There's a crippled negra that rolls out into the middle of traffic and just sits there as traffic blows by. I've seen it a few times so its not so weird anymore, but the guy must be out of his mind.
