I said no, it conflicts with my racial/cultural preservation beliefs. I don't think I would adopt anyway, I want my own children and if I can't have my own... Then I wasn't ment to have children and would try to accept that.

AW: Would you adopt a baby from a 3rd world country?

    @Fritz:

    1. Studies have shown that children naturally respond to those of their race, even at the tender age of three months. i.e. even children instinctively understand racial differences.
Until some time ago I didn't believe this myself, but now I think it's actually true since I had an interesting experience.

A few weeks ago, my wife was in hospital. When I came to visit her with my son who is now ca. 16 months old, there was a huge (ca. 1,90 tall), very dark, robust negro who pretty much resembled an overgrown Gorilla IMO, standing in the hospital corridor. It was the first Black my son had consciously seen so far in his life. And I must add that he was walking about a meter in front of me, so he couldn't "read" my own (implicitly racist?) mimics or body language.

Anyway, when he saw the negro from about five meters away he was completely stunned within an instant (I almost ran into him), gazing at the negro with eyes wide open, not in the way he usually does when he sees something new and fascinating, but in a way that indicated that he was in fact terribly frightened. Then, the negro turned his head, looked at him, and as soon as my son saw this he did something he had never done before, not even when meeting aggressive, barking dogs (he usually answers them with a friendly "wau wau") or strange zoo animals: He turned around on his heels 180° and ran away so fast that I could hardly catch him. When I finally caught him he was again gazing at the negro, his heart was beating heavily and his face was paler than usual. I then had to carry him around for a while and wait until the negro was gone so that we could proceed to the hospital room we were headed to.

So, in conclusion I don't know if that's actually an arument against adopting Negro babies (maybe they're not as frightened of Whites as Whites are of them?) but I think it's an interesting anecdote for those who still don't believe that race-awareness is somehow hardwired into human behaviour.

Like they say, children and fools speak the truth!

I wonder if anyone else here has had experiences of this kind?

was he tall, skinny, "blue" black skin, a long face, and chisled features? from the info you gave, he was probably from an east African tribe.

so he couldn't "read" my own (implicitly racist?) mimics or body language.
    What did you do?

No, on the contrary rather chubby and Congoid. Didn't I mention gorillas?

    What did you do?
Nothing. I'm not acting like a Skinhead if you mean that.

But I guess body language somehow shows whether someone is racist or not.

Re: Would you adopt a baby from a 3rd world country?

If I were to have a child, I would want the child to be mine and my partners the natural and old fashioned way.

I would not adopt. Especially not from a 3rd world country.

Re: Would you adopt a baby from a 3rd world country?

First of all I dont have the finances to be able to adopt. I am also single and have been for about 7 years, and I think a child should live with both a Mother and a Father, as is natural (ie a Male and Female). If my circumstances changed id like more kids of my own. I would never adopt a child from a third world country, I prefer a mono-ethnic arrangement. I wouldnt rule adoption out if I or a future partner couldnt concieve for some medical reason, but the baby would have to come from my own Race. And considering the recent reports that the u.k treats its children worse than any other nation in the world, Id probably opt from the U.k.

I don't want to adopt children, but if I had to it would be a Serbian child.

I don't want a child that is not of my own blood.

You'd not adopt in case of infertility?

Re: Would you adopt a baby from a 3rd world country?

I am anti-adoption because in most cases a child does not know anything about their parents or heritage. Adopted people to me are also inferior because it goes to show you that the parents did not care about their child/children. Well actually, sometimes the parents cannot afford to keep a child so there is also that matter too. Family strength is the main reason why I hate adoptions. So, no I would want no interest in taking a child in from a weathly or third world nation. I hope that sounded right.

I wouldn't adopt any child of whatsoever race at all. If someone has made child he/she must take care of it.
