I still think the Third Reich battle flag is quite possibly the best flag design I've ever seen. It would've been a cool flag for Germany.

I had an article about the Swastica on the AWB website. I pointed out that the full Nazi flag (red/white circle, eagle & swastica) was a variation of the viking flag (The rays being the swastica):

That's complete false and likely a product or your own imagination.

The design of the Nazi flag was introduced by Hitler as the party flag in mid-1920: a flag with a red background, a white disk and a black swastika in the middle. In Mein Kampf, Hitler explained the process by which the Nazi flag design was created: It was necessary to use the same colours as Imperial Germany, because in Hitler's opinion they were "revered colours expressive of our homage to the glorious past and which once brought so much honour to the German nation." The most important requirement was that "the new flag... should prove effective as a large poster" because "in hundreds of thousands of cases a really striking emblem may be the first cause of awakening interest in a movement." Nazi propaganda clarified the symbolism of the flag: the red colour stood for the social, white for the movement's national thinking and the swastika for the victory of the Aryan peoples over the Jewry.[36] Several designs by a number of different authors were considered, but the one adopted in the end was Hitler's personal design.[37] Albert Speer stated in his memoirs that "in only two other designs did he (Adolf Hitler) execute the same care as he did his Obersalzberg house: that of the Reich War Flag and his own standard of Chief of State"
    ...
From 1933 to at least 1938, the Nazis sometimes "sanctified" swastika flags by touching them with the Blutfahne (blood flag), the swastika flag used by Nazi paramilitaries during the failed Beer Hall Putsch in 1923. This ceremony took place at every Nuremberg Rally. It is unknown whether this tradition was continued after the last Nuremberg rally in 1938.

Here is the party-anthem and song that glorifies the Swastika.

    Question

Completely? You do not see any simularity?

Nazi propaganda clarified the symbolism of the flag...
    Key word...

But let's just think it was along the same lines.

"From a female grave near Randers, of the tenth century, were taken out pieces of woolen cloth, with gold and silver thread woven into it, and trimmed with red silk. The occurrence of the swastikas, or Thor's mark, surrounded by the sign of Thor's hammer, makes it not improbable that these stuffs were woven in the North itself." Source

There are some interesting swastikas used as decorations for Easter eggs, since Ancient times, both in nowadays Romania and in other places in Europe. There's a whole book about the Easter eggs decorations, wrote by a Romanian ethnographer, and it has interesting pictures too. The name of the book is Ouăle de Paşti (In English: The Easter Eggs), and the author is Artur Gorovei. It's a very interesting ethnographic study.

Danube script from the Vinča culture 5300–4700/4500 BC.

The oldest swastika in the world was found in what is today Ukraine, at least 15 000 years old. I've also seen 18 000 years old being used.
