Personally I think there is much more to it than just saying we descended from them. I always use the fact that we evolved yet they stayed the same when those morons try and use it against us. It's probably like we were cousins by some messed up breeding thing and they had some retarded cousins or something who refused to evolve whilst the Europeans moved away and started an Empire. Or something like that....

Ah come on! We are both evolved from the original state.
The negroid might even qualify as more derived, given some of their unique traits. Look at the obvious rim around the lips, their occasionally very deep pigmentation, and that peculiar hair-structure. The set of the musculature is also rather special, I heard, no?

I do not find it disturbing or weird. But I am generally more disturbed by what people do today than by what happened thousands of years ago. I have been around people of several different races who acted like animals. But compared to some I have led a sheltered life.

I believe that there is more than one human "root race". Whites and blacks may both have originated in Africa, but at different times and from a different anthropological background. I came to the conclusion that the black races are the result of purpose-breeding programmes carried out by more advanced human civilizations , nowadays refered to as "Atlantis". This theory is reflected in the biblical Genesis story, but also in the creation myth of the northern European nations. Ancient Egypt was one of several surviving outposts of this highly developed and advanced white civilization in Africa.

Well, what they fail to think about is that Out of Africa does not imply that Europids descend from Negroids. Rather, they both are a divergence from a common source that was niether one of the two...

But yeah, it's kind of weird.

Africa may very well be the place of origin for both races, but I doubt that blacks and whites come from a common source.

AW: Is it "weird" that we are evolved from African-like people?

We evolved in thousands of years to an other sub-race, adapting to the nature in the more northern regions. And I dont think that the early homo sapiens who lived hundred thousands years ago in Africa looked liked the native population there today. But anyway. I dont know for sure. *g*

But I´ve a question which had something to do with this topic:

Maybe I´m blind, but I´ve never read an explanation about WHY does Asians have this mongolian fold??? Why do they have it? They came from Africa, too. The same gene-pool. They went north, too. They came into colder regions, too. (China, Japan and so on have also winters and a colder climate)

But why does they have a mongolian fold while we Europeans dont have it? I mean: The skin-tone of the Asians became more white with time - like we Europeans. Chinese people are also a kind of white when it comes to skin-color. But this doesnt explains this mongolian fold?
And: Nearly all Asians have absolute black hairs. Only Europeans have different hair colors. How does it come?

Is there any explanation for that? That the evolution gave them these kind of eyes while Blacks and Whites share at least the same form of the eyes (more or less).
