Aphorisms and Allegories: Post your Original Works

    (December 26th, 1999)

Can one even imagine Life without metaphor?

Therein lies many of our 'answers'. Man, as receptor, conduit, and vehicle of Dasein is descript in a particular sense only through the generalities of metaphor: its abstraction is soild - yet one must example through fluidity; through 'x' does or is 'y'.

The Imago has, does, and will reign supreme in the cognition of Life, itself.

    - All Hail the Image...
"...The moral man is a lower species than the immoral, a weaker species; indeed - he is a type in regard to morality, but not a type in himself; a copy...the measure of his value lies outside him. ... I assess the power of a will by how much resistance, pain, torture it endures and knows how to turn to its advantage; I do not account the evil and painful character of existence a reproach to it, but hope rather that it will one day be more evil and painful than hitherto..." (Nietzsche)

If religion is the opiate of the people, then Metaphysics is the opiate of the Philosopher: one ought not argue too strongly against either.

    (New today)

We train the body because it is all that most people understand; we train the mind, because virtually no one understands it.

Made this one up right now:

Finding traces of democracy in Sweden is like finding food in North Korea.
