The 'Song of the Ancient Linden': Franconian Prophecy Concerning Germanys Future

    Franconian prophecy concerning Germanys future

No other German prophecy foretells the future of Germany as boldly as does the Song of the Ancient Linden (“Das Lied von der Linde”). Two manuscripts of the mid-19th century prophecy (said to have been found in a hollow linden tree near a cemetery in Staffelstein, Franconia, Germany) resurfaced independently of each other in two German households in the early 1920s. Graphological studies of the two scripts came to the conclusion that the original manuscript was written down in the mid-19th century (ca. 1851). The prophecy is not well-known beyond spiritually-interested circles in Germany, and has never before been translated into English. Here it is in English, only on Skadi Forum! Special thanks to Oswiu who checked my proposed translation with the German original (rhyme AABB).

The Song Of The Ancient Linden Concerning The Time To Come

    [Verse 1]
O Ancient Linden by the sacred gorge
In awe I caress your trunk,
    You who saw Charlemagne,
Will yet stand, when the Greatest shall arrive.

    [Verse 2]
Your grey edge fringe measures thirty spans,
The oldest tree by far of all the German land,
Wars, famine, plagues have ye seen,
New life and death, again, again.

    [Verse 3]
Long has your trunk stood hollow,
That once concealed fugitive horse and rider,
Until the ravine turned softly with gentle hand
A wide circlet around your forehead.

    [Verse 4]
No painting nor book have portrayed your crown
Whose boughs are now all lost
    Save two, branching mightily,
Their leaves climbing joyfully to the heavens.

[Commentary: The two boughs might point to the Irminsul of the Saxons. The T-shaped crucifix of St. Antony (who is mentioned in verse 30) may also allude to Irminsul!]

    [Verse 5]
    Ancient linden, all-knowing,
Tell us kindly from your heart,
    open your prophetic eye and
Announce the fate of Germany and the World!

    [Verse 6]
Great Emperor Charles, ordained in Rome,
You will remain a cornerstone of German time,
After hundred and sixty by seven years of grace
Germany will be cut to the quick.

[Commentary: The incoronation of Charlemagne took place in 800 AD. (160 X 7) + 800 = 1920. The Treaty of Versailles was implemented on 10.01.1920.]

    [Verse 7]
In thrall your son will toil for alien nations,
Doing and leaving whatever is right to their slaves,
The enemy‘s hand has cruelly torn apart,
The bond of one blood, one tongue.

[Commentary: Parts II and III of the Diktat of Versailles entailed significant territorial losses for the German Reich]

    [Verse 8]
Devour stomach, take your fill of German blood
    Until your strength eventually end,
The heart sickens, the whole body will waste away,
Germany ‘s misery - the ruin of the world.

    [Verse 9]
Harvests dwindle, but not the wars,
And brother will fight against brother,
    Armed with scythe and shovel,
Once shotgun and sword are lost.

    [Verse 10]
The poor will quickly become wealthy of money,
But this swift wealth will turn to ash,
    All poorer with enlarged treasure
Fewer people, with space even more confined.

[Commentary: End of the New Economy Boom, rising state and public debt; over-development of rural areas despite declining populations in developed countries]

    [Verse 11]
For the rulers‘ thrones will have been abolished,
Governance will turn to game and passion,
Until the day arrive, when man deems himself damned
To be called to hold public office.

[Commentary: Abolishment of the German monarchy and nobility on 16.12.1919]

    [Verse 12]
The farmer will groan until the fateful day,
All his efforts a mere stroke in water
Admonition will fall on desert sand
    Only folly will find listeners.

[Commentary: cf. Market-related culling of domestic animals during the so-called Mad Cow Disease]

    [Verse 13]
    Those with most sins,
Will be set up as judges and highest council,
Blood shall smoke, the beast will grow wild
Robbery become labour, and murder - greed.

[Commentary: Post WW II-Trials of Nuremberg; Blood-for-oil-War(s); Domestic animals becoming wild (such as in Australia, for instance); Organized crime]

    [Verse 14]
Rome will butcher like cattle the crowd of priests,
And will not spare the elderly man of silver hair,
The Highest will have to flee over corpses
    Pursued from place to place.

[Commentary: Other prophecy also state that the Pope will flee from Rome]

    [Verse 15]
He seems God-forsaken, but he is not,
Firm in belief, loyal to duty,
    Not apostate in distress,
Taking the dispute of God to the approaching court.

    [Verse 16]
Winter will arrive, three days of darkness
Thunder and lighting and the earth ‘s fissure.
Pray at home, do not leave your dwelling!
Nor dare to watch the horror from a window!

[Commentary: Polar shift? During winter (NASA maintains there will be one in 1912!)? Is the concept of the “Black Sun” a symbol for the three days of darkness that are mentioned in the prophecy? Earthquake?]

    [Verse 17]
All this time only a single candle,
will give you glow, for as long as it shall burn.
Poisonous breath will emerge from a night of dust,
Black epidemic, the worst battle of mankind.

[Commentary: Power failure? Use of biological and nuclear weapons? Plaque?]

    [Verse 18]
All this could threaten all mortals,
But the Good will die a blessed death
Many followers will be wonderfully spared
From breathing difficulties and the danger of pestilence.

    [Verse 19]
Mud will devour a great city,
    Another will fight with fire,
All cities will become deathly quiet.
Dill will grow on Vienna's Stephen Square.

[Commentary: New Orleans 2005! Marseille, Hamburg, London (by means of a monster wave)? Destruction of Prague, Sofia (through fire)?]

    [Verse 20]
If you count all humans in the world,
You will find that a third is missing.
What is left, look in each country,
half of whom will have lost their senses.

[Commentary: Decline of world population? Behavioural problems among humans? Suicide Epidemic?]

    [Verse 21]
Like a rudderless ship in a storm
Is left to the mercy of every reef,
A nine-day wonder‘s swarm of rulers will stagger around
Making the citizens poorer than poor.

    [Verse 22]
For the misery‘s only glimmer of hope
Of a better day is infinitely distant.
“Saviour, send the one whom you have to send!“
    Resounds fearfully from man's breast.

    [Verse 23
When the Earth suddenly changes its course,
Does a new glimmer of hope arise?
“Everything is lost!”, will resound here,
“Everything is rescued”, Vienna will already be singing.

[Commentary: Polar shift (cf. verse 16)? Interestingly, other prophecies maintain that the sun will rise in the west in the future]

    [Verse 24]
For yea, the strong hero will hail from the East,
Bringing new order to a confused world.
White flowers surrounding the heart of the lord,
Willingly the valiant will follow his call.

[Commentary: New leader hailing from Austria?]

    [Verse 25]
All troublemakers will be scattered to the winds,
He will give German law to the German Empire,
    Foreigner of colour, unwelcome guest,
Flee the field you have not ploughed.

[Commentary: Eradication of the enemies of the (German) people; Implementation of a new law (replacement of Roman-Germanic Law?); Non-Germans / Aliens will be expelled]

    [Verse 26]
Gods hero, you will forge an indivisible bond
    Around all German lands.
You will guide the exiled one to Rome.
A cathedral will witness a great emperors coronation.

[Commentary: Restoration of the German Reich; Coronation of an emperor (in Rome? Cologne?]

    [Verse 27]
    Hail the 21st Council
That shows the highest goal to all nations,
And a strict legislation will ensure,
That the rich and the poor will no longer strangle each other.

[Commentary: The 21st Vatican Council was held between 1962 and 1965]

    [Verse 28]
German name, you have suffered severely,
Again you will be shined in former honour
Growing around the entwined pair of twigs
The shadow of which will be sought by many a guest.

    [Verse 29]
    Dantes and Cervantes Romanic sound
Will be familiar to German children.
And on the banks of the Tiber, as well as the Ebro
The brown friend of Arminius land will remain.

[Commentary: Italian and Spanish are presently being taught in German schools]

    [Verse 30]
When the angel-like shepherd of nations,
Becomes a wayfarer like St. Antony,
And preaches barefoot to those who have gone astray
A new spring will smile upon the whole world.

    [Verse 31]
    All churches will be united,
A single shepherd of one herd will appear,
Crescent will steadily make the way for the cross
Black land will shine in religious radiance.

[Commentary: Unity of Churches; End of Protestantism; Decline of Islam]

    [Verse 32]
I see rich harvests every year,
Wise men of a great crowd.
Epidemics and wars taken from the world,
Blessed be they that live to see this age.

    [Verse 33]
Thus is foretold to German man and child
By the old linden-tree, suffering with its native land.
So that arrogance might not become full measure,
And that the righteous not despair.

Peer suggested in his recent post on the German thread concerning the `Song of the Ancient Linden that the three days of darkness mentioned in verse 16 could be caused by dust that has been whirled up by nuclear explosions. He suggests that such explosion could cause fissures in the earths crust.

The strong Christian content may come as a surprise to many of us, but one should bear in mind that the prophecy was written down in the aftermath of Germanys conservative Biedermeierzeit (1815-1848), which was characterized by moderation and retreat into privacy.

The visions of the `Song of the Ancient Linden seem to be confirmed by a multitude of parallel prophecies from the nearby Bohemian and Bavarian Forests, where the borders of Bohemia, Bavaria and Austria meet. It has been suggested that this area is a kind of `Bermuda Triangle of the Paranormal. It has also been proposed that the reason for this should be sought in the fact that this territory had been an area of settlement for retreating Celts at the time of Roman expansion (Manfred Bckl: Propheten, Seher und Auguren Visionre und ihre Prophezeiungen aus Bayern, Bhmen und sterreich (1998) Goldmann-Verlag (ISBN 3-442-13245-2)). The visions also seem to be confirmed independently by the visions of the Afrikaans clairvoyant from South Africa, Siener van Rensburg (Nicolaas Pieter Johannes Janse van Rensburg, 1864-1926).

    [Verse 24]
For yea, the strong hero will hail from the East,
Bringing new order to a confused world.
White flowers surrounding the heart of the lord,
Willingly the valiant will follow his call.
Who is familiar with Roman-Catholic Christian iconography and can explain the phrase "white flowers surrounding the heart of the Lord, (verse 24, line 3)?"

It is interesting that traumatic events of the 20th-century German history are largely omitted in the visions of the post-1920 period, when the Diktat of Versailles, which entailed huge territorial losses, reparations, economic burdens etc. for Germany, came into effect. Instead, the kind of warfare that is described in Verse 9 reminds us of the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) that mainly affected German settlement areas (at least 11 million German victims). In fact, the term for "shotgun" (verse 9, line 4) in the German original is "Flinte", an ancient type of gun.

The prophecy seems so true, and so in alignment with my own visions of the future, that one might almost think it was made up by vlkisch nationalists/romantics of the 1920's, is there no possibility of that? I mean, it [what the prophecy says] sounds almost to good to be true.

The Song Of The Ancient Linden Concerning The Time To Come
OK, nice; I will present my own thoughts on the verses now. Take note that I don't write from an exclusively Deutsch standpoint but rather from an Aryan (or [Indo-]European/Western) standpoint.
    [Verse 1]
O Ancient Linden by the sacred gorge
In awe I caress your trunk,
    You who saw Charlemagne,
Will yet stand, when the Greatest shall arrive.
The tree stood when Karlmagns ruled and will stand when the Greatest (the One) will come, it says. Pretty cool this tree will stand so long! But who's this greatest one? My thought is; he's the one Hitler said will come, the one Savitri Devi, Miguel Serrano and others wrote about.
I'll quote S. Devi: "He knew it himself, from the early days of the struggle. And nothing shows more clearly how aware he was of his own place and significance in history than the words he addressed Hans Grimm in 1928, in the course of a conversation that lasted an hour and a quarter: "I know that some man capable of giving our problems a final solution must appear. And that is why I have set myself to do the preparatory work (die Vorarbeit); only the most urgent preparatory work, for I know that I am myself not the one. And I know also what is missing in me (to be the one). But the other one still remains aloof, and nobody comes forward, and there is no more time to be lost." New life and death, again, again.
Many vlkisch and NS people have compared nations to trees. If I recall, Himmler wrote about this under the psuedoname Wulf Srensen.
    [Verse 3]
Long has your trunk stood hollow,
That once concealed fugitive horse and rider,
Until the ravine turned softly with gentle hand
A wide circlet around your forehead.
    [Verse 4]
No painting nor book have portrayed your crown
Whose boughs are now all lost
    Save two, branching mightily,
Their leaves climbing joyfully to the heavens.

    Nice math, Euhesperides.
    [Verse 7]
In thrall your son will toil for alien nations,
Doing and leaving whatever is right to their slaves,
The enemy‘s hand has cruelly torn apart,
The bond of one blood, one tongue.

It's describing what the jew and liberalcapitalism has done, is doing and will do to our people; it makes us toil for alien nations ('working' for the jew and paying taxes to the state that are spent on foreign aid to Africa and whatnot). The jew and his supporters (communists, liberalcapitalists, multiculturalist, etc.) have trough the last century and notably last decades torn the part of one blood and one tongue with their horrible multiracial/multicultural experiments. So our countries are not anymore of one blood nor one tongue, instead we have many different bloodlines and languages within our boarders.

Kali-Yuga article (the Dark age in Hinduism) on similar things: "In this era Brahmins [spiritual high caste] do the work of a Shudra [lowest caste, sub-humans] and the Shudras alike the Vaishyas amass wealth or alike Kshatriyas [warrior high caste] engage in allied activities and earn their livelihood."
    [Verse 8]
Devour stomach, take your fill of German blood
    Until your strength eventually end,
The heart sickens, the whole body will waste away,
Germany ‘s misery - the ruin of the world.
The earth sure has taken it's fill of German blood, especially in the last century, with Germany fighting and loosing two world wars. After the second world war Germany's heart has sickened, and it's body is wasting away. When Germany lost and fell into misery with the fall of the Reich, it spelled the ruin of the (Western) world.
    [Verse 9]
Harvests dwindle, but not the wars,
And brother will fight against brother,
    Armed with scythe and shovel,
Once shotgun and sword are lost.
Brothers fought against brothers (that is European nation against European nation) in the last century and they will again in this century, as it says, harvests will dwindle but not the wars. So even if much of Europe might have it good economically in this post-WW2 era there will come a time again, when the system falls so the masses can't live in their debauchery anymore, where there won't be enough food for everyone (which will make people wake up and start driving foreigners from their lands IMO).
    [Verse 10]
The poor will quickly become wealthy of money,
But this swift wealth will turn to ash,
    All poorer with enlarged treasure
Fewer people, with space even more confined.

The lowest caste ('white trash' and non-Europid immigrants) has had increased material wealth in the last centuries and especially in the last decades, with their TV's, micro-ovens, negroid music and so on. But with all their consumer crap they are spiritually bankrupt. So we will have fewer humans and more sub-humans crowding everywhere. Quantity ruling quality in this dark age.

The rulers used to be the aristos (the best) but their thrones have been abolished and governance has turned into a game and is about petty emotions (modern politics). It will get so bad that anarchy will rule (the jew will watch in his bases) and no man will be able or want to serve the people.

There might be great floods. Diseases, famine, chemical/nuclear disasters and other ills might cause people to leave the cities and live in rural ares or in caves or underground.

On verses 24, 25 and 26 I think of the following.

A new leader will emerge, the one so many have prophesied the coming of. He will wipe away the filth. Liberalcapitalism, judeocracy, democracy, communism, multiracial/multiculturalism, and all that crap, will end in a new great war (RaHoWa? ) and from the ashes of it there will rise a new elite, which will rule IMPERIVM EVRPA, and beyond. Quality shall rule over quantity once again; one Emperor, not a filthy political party.

Savitri Devi wrote on the coming savior: "The last incarnation of him-who-comes-back — the last man against time — has many names. Every great faith, every great culture, every true (living or obsolete) form of a tradition as old as the fall of man has given him one. Through the eyes of the visionary of Patmos, the Christians behold in him Christ, present for the second time: no longer a meek preacher of love and forgiveness, but the irresistible leader of the celestial white horsemen destined to put an end to this sinful world and to establish a new heaven and a new earth. The Mohammedan world is awaiting him under the features of the Mahdi, whom Allah shall send "at the end of times," to crush all evil through the power of his sword — "after the Jews will once more have become the masters of Jerusalem" and "after the Devil will have taught men to set even the air they breathe on fire." And the millions of Hindustan have called him from time immemorial and still call him Kalki, the last incarnation of the world-sustaining power; Vishnu; the one who will, in the interest of life, put an end to this age of gloom and open a new succession of ages."

Kali-Yuga article (the Dark age in Hinduism) on similar things: "He shall be the saviour of one and all and he will possess weapon on the spur of the moment. He shall emancipate this world from all miseries and create happiness. He will put an end to the Kali Yuga and shall create a novel Satya Yuga embellished with truth and beauty. Bhagwan Kalki shall recoronate all the Brahmins as the rulers and will massacre all the outcastes and inferior (barbarians)"
    [Verse 27]
    Hail the 21st Council
That shows the highest goal to all nations,
And a strict legislation will ensure,
That the rich and the poor will no longer strangle each other.

Re: Franconian prophecy concerning Germanys future

The Song Of The Ancient Linden Concerning The Time To Come (revised translation)

[The grammatical reflection of two verbs has been corrected: "end" (verse 8, line 2) becomes "ends" and "arrive" (verse 11, line3) should read "arrives".]

    [Verse 1]
O Ancient Linden by the sacred gorge
In awe I caress your trunk,
    You who saw Charlemagne,
Will yet stand, when the Greatest shall arrive.

    [Verse 2]
Your grey edge fringe measures thirty spans,
The oldest tree by far of all the German land,
Wars, famine, plagues have ye seen,
New life and death, again, again.

    [Verse 3]
Long has your trunk stood hollow,
That once concealed fugitive horse and rider,
Until the ravine turned softly with gentle hand
A wide circlet around your forehead.

    [Verse 4]
No painting nor book have portrayed your crown
Whose boughs are now all lost
    Save two, branching mightily,
Their leaves climbing joyfully to the heavens.

    [Verse 5]
    Ancient linden, all-knowing,
Tell us kindly from your heart,
    open your prophetic eye and
Announce the fate of Germany and the World!

    [Verse 6]
Great Emperor Charles, ordained in Rome,
You will remain a cornerstone of German time,
After hundred and sixty by seven years of grace
Germany will be cut to the quick.

    [Verse 7]
In thrall your son will toil for alien nations,
Doing and leaving whatever is right to their slaves,
The enemys hand has cruelly torn apart,
The bond of one blood, one tongue.

    [Verse 8]
Devour stomach, take your fill of German blood
    Until your strength eventually ends,
The heart sickens, the whole body will waste away,
Germany s misery - the ruin of the world.

    [Verse 9]
Harvests dwindle, but not the wars,
And brother will fight against brother,
    Armed with scythe and shovel,
Once shotgun and sword are lost.

    [Verse 10]
The poor will quickly become wealthy of money,
But this swift wealth will turn to ash,
    All poorer with enlarged treasure
Fewer people, with space even more confined.

    [Verse 11]
For the rulers thrones will have been abolished,
Governance will turn to game and passion,
Until the day arrives, when man deems himself damned
To be called to hold public office.

    [Verse 12]
The farmer will groan until the fateful day,
All his efforts a mere stroke in water
Admonition will fall on desert sand
    Only folly will find listeners.

    [Verse 13]
    Those with most sins,
Will be set up as judges and highest council,
Blood shall smoke, the beast will grow wild
Robbery become labour, and murder - greed.

    [Verse 14]
Rome will butcher like cattle the crowd of priests,
And will not spare the elderly man of silver hair,
The Highest will have to flee over corpses
    Pursued from place to place.

    [Verse 15]
He seems God-forsaken, but he is not,
Firm in belief, loyal to duty,
    Not apostate in distress,
Taking the dispute of God to the approaching court

    [Verse 16]
Winter will arrive, three days of darkness
Thunder and lighting and the earth s fissure.
Pray at home, do not leave your dwelling!
Nor dare to watch the horror from a window!

    [Verse 17]
All this time only a single candle,
will give you glow, for as long as it shall burn.
Poisonous breath will emerge from a night of dust,
Black epidemic, the worst battle of mankind.

    [Verse 18]
All this could threaten all mortals,
But the Good will die a blessed death
Many followers will be wonderfully spared
From breathing difficulties and the danger of pestilence.

    [Verse 19]
Mud will devour a great city,
    Another will fight with fire,
All cities will become deathly quiet.
Dill will grow on Vienna's Stephen Square.

    [Verse 20]
If you count all humans in the world,
You will find that a third is missing.
What is left, look in each country,
half of whom will have lost their senses.

    [Verse 21]
Like a rudderless ship in a storm
Is left to the mercy of every reef,
A nine-day wonders swarm of rulers will stagger around
Making the citizens poorer than poor.

    [Verse 22]
For the miserys only glimmer of hope
Of a better day is infinitely distant.
Saviour, send the one whom you have to send!
    Resounds fearfully from man's breast.

    [Verse 23]
When the Earth suddenly changes its course,
Does a new glimmer of hope arise?
Everything is lost!, will resound here,
Everything is rescued, Vienna will already be singing.

    [Verse 24]
For yea, the strong hero will hail from the East,
Bringing new order to a confused world.
White flowers surrounding the heart of the lord,
Willingly the valiant will follow his call.

    [Verse 25]
All troublemakers will be scattered to the winds,
He will give German law to the German Empire,

@Thulean Imperial Inquisitor: Thank you for your discussion with quotes from the Kali Yuga.

As I have pointed out in one of the above threads, the visions described in this prophecy from Staffelstein in the Upper Franconia (economically backward compared to the rest of Franconia and the entire Bavaria) are confirmed by other visions of comparable prophecies from the neighbouring Bohemian and Bavarian Forests, where the borders of Bohemia, Bavaria and Austria meet. I suppose that the author of the Franconian prophecy hardly had any knowledge of other countries, because travelling only intensified rapidly in the second part of the 19th century with the extension of railways and introduction of ocean liners etc. I think that there is no coincidence in the high concentration of apocalyptic vision in this area. Most of the prophecies from Bohemia have been understood to refer to the Teutonic-Slav conflict in later czechoslovakia (sorry to mention!) and the czech republic (sorry to mention!). These prophecies show us that there is a link between the genocide of the Sudeten-Germans and the coming destruction of the Prague (Prag had been a German-majority city until the late 19th century, after the release of rural czechs (sorry to mention!) from serfdom in 1848 and their migration into the German towns and villages in Bohemia) and an end to the czech state (sorry to mention!).

Take note that I don't write from an exclusively Deutsch standpoint but rather from an Aryan (or [Indo-]European/Western) standpoint.
Generally speaking, there is no doubt that Germany has played and still plays a central role in Europe and an important one in world history during the Age of Pisces (last two millenniums). Strange as it is, but the fate of Germany which is such a tiny little country with few natural resources, is not only the destiny of the Europe, but also the rest of the world.

I have got sad news. The said Linden does not exist anymore. An internet search has just revealed that a pharmacist called Schmolz who fought all his life for the survival of the linden advised the local authority of Staffelstein in 1959 to plant 30 to 40 cm strong linden trees beneath the endangered boughs so that these could eventually be grafted into the ailing trees. The authorities did not act on time and when appropriate action was undertaken in the 1980s (see photograph), the tree was too damaged of old age to secure its rescue. Wooden fragments of the dead tree were apparently escorted with much public attention in a kind of funerary cortge to the local museum in 1998. The tree’s remains have been appropriately conserved.

    Source: http://www.altebaeume.de/Staffel.html

Although the tree might not stand at its original place of growth, it will still exist in some form or another "when the Greatest shall arrive". This shows us how ambiguous prophecies can be.

Trees seldom reach such an old age, but there are other cases of ancient trees that survive in Germany. The so-called "Friederikeneiche" that is named after Friederike Elisabeth Amalie von Oldenburg, is also about 1200 years of age and the oldest surviving oak-tree in the Hasbruch-Forest. It is regarded as the oldest tree in Lower Saxony, Germany.

    […]
Clearly this is referring to the person above called the Greatest one. The one Hitler, even as a teen, knew would come sooner or later.
Hitler has in fact not succeeded in ending Germany’s Dark Age. While about 50 % of Germans during Nazi Germany were satisfied with the way things were, the dissatisfaction with the succeeding post-WW II regimes has been much higher (60 and even 80 percent), which makes Imperial Wilhelmine Germany (1870/71-1918) the most blessed Germany to date.

Nazi Germany was not Germany’s Golden Age, but the best retribution and retaliation there could be for the preceding anarchy and misery during the earlier interwar years of the Weimar Republic, which the present regime in "Germany" refers to as the "golden twenties" ("die goldenen zwanziger Jahre"). The interwar period and WW II (1918-1945) have in recent publications often been referred to as the Second "Thirty Years War". Nazi Germany was a kind of intermediate period that could not cope with the overwhelming alliance of Germany’s opponents. Other prophecies (all of which could and should be discussed separately) hold that the Golden Age of Germany is still to come.

I personally think that the way the figures of young princesses symbolize the role of goddesses in fairy tales helps to unravel the time question. Sleeping Beauty ("Dornrschen") will sleep for not longer than hundred years, and Snow White’s (“Schneewittchen“) hair is as black as ebony wood, her skin as white as snow and her lips as red as blood (black/white/red = colours of the flag of the German Reich). I interpret these and other princesses to be personifications of Germany, Germans and Germanics. Germany will rise again from sleep and near-death.

The string of unhappy events that followed the fateful November 1918 revolution in Germany could therefore last for about a century (1918/1920 until approximately 2012/2024).

I think that there will be a spiritually orientated Christian leader, probably a clergyman originating from Austria (Austria has always been a very Catholic German country; the German term "black" also symbolizes anything that has to do with (conservative) Catholicism).

I have always found it a bit odd that this prophecy mentions what it foretells to "German man and child" only (verse 33). I found it sexist that it does not mention "woman", but there might be a very good reason for this. The nationalist opposition in Germany is a very male-dominated phenomenon, - women often seem to prefer non-Germans as sexual and marriage partners. Sexual mores in Germany are so relaxed that three (!) out of ten children born in Germany are of extramarital paternal parentage! Laws have been introduced in recent years to prevent family fathers from secretly investigating the real paternal parentage of their "legal" offspring (democracy sucks!). I do not want to sound sexist, - quite to the contrary -, because I consider myself to be the opposite of a male chauvinist, but the so-called "Sexual Revolution" has to be modified or even reversed. It is incumbent that a nation’s women must have moral and genetic integrity.
