Was going to asks about the Lawrence thing. Just bought the movie (came out in 1962) and it is well done; gives a real tastes of the British Empire.
Turman found a copy of The Graduate, and thought highly enough of the story that he made a movie he considered to be 90-percent faithful to the book.

But Turman and director Mike Nichols made one key adaptation, changing the Braddocks from WASP-y blonde characters into a dark-haired, more ethnic-looking family.

Ja ja, I have the best:

Humphrey Bogart in the Maltese Falcon as Sam Spade. A cooler man there has never been. People could really dress back then.

I agree ...but the original (in black and white) stays THE masterpiece !
Actually I'd love to live in that gothic house with a gothic woman ! it would emulate my imagination and...my libido ! lol

Poofter weirdo in real life and about the same as the character in Psycho. Speaking of which there was a guy on our school track team that looked just like Norman Bates in Psycho and naturally got slapped with the nick "Norman". I don't think he cared for it much but fortunately for him he only had it a few months and then we graduated and all went on our separate ways.

    Kids can be so cruel!

Most memorable off the top o' my tired brain:

    Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones
Someone as that Irish guy from Braveheart
