I do not know, but I have been debating it. I kinda think that is a Yiddish-origin last name, which can obviously translate into German.
DER SIEG IST UNSER,
Bobby
She may be a yid. She plays on Buffy as the sister of Sarah M. Gellar, another jew. Since she is in hollywood, I wouldn't doubt that her nose and lips are fake, that is probably why you are scared of them, Scrubber.
I do not think she would be out of place in Germany. Maybe sub-nordid (alpine/nordid)
Whatever her ethnic origin might be she is basically Nordid-Alpine - Subnordid and quite attractive too. Thats one of the worse pictures of here.Originally Posted by trajan70

Many non-Jewish Germans have "berg" in their name so who knows. She doesnt look Jewish and I doubt she is a religious jew either.
she DOES look jewish, and usually BURG is for "goy" germans, and BERG is for jewish germans...imagine her with dark hair, you would most definnetly consider her more jewish lookingOriginally Posted by Wulf
Interesting. I don't find her attractive in the least.Originally Posted by Agrippa
Interesting theory which i never heard of before btw. For me "Trachtenberg" sounds like a regular bavarian/austrian name.Originally Posted by Razmig
From my experience the ending "berg" is much more common than the ending "burg" in Germany. The ending "burg" seems to be actually very rare outside the nobility.
Besides, in the region where I live there are some noble names with the ending "berg" which trace back to the Franks and Alemanni and not to Jews, f.e. the Württembergs (who were made kings under Napoleon) or the Fürstenbergs in Donaueschingen at the Danubian spring (who had a principality until 1806 near my home town )
I don't think she's Jewish-looking, regardless of hair color.Originally Posted by Razmig
When I was little I loved her in "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" and "Harriet the Spy"... Looks like she's grown up a bit, though.![]()
