German or Swedish/English videos for childen?

Are there any german/swedish books or videos for preschoolers where the characters speak german or swedish as well as english. Something like Dora the Explorer would be the right level for my daughter. I am teaching her ASL(american sign language) and let her watch Dora a few times a week. I want to introduce more scadanavian/irish/german cultural things for her. I have gone through the books at the library and most of the ones that are good are to advanced for her. We listen to alot of irish and english music. I have some picture books for when she is older but she is not quite three and gets bored with longer stories. If there are good female rolemodels even better.

I found the video The family circus presents Lyric Language German. Singalongs for kids.

Right now my daughter has been requesting The Usborn Book of Everyday Words in German and The Usborn First Thousand Words in German. She calls them her letter books.
I finally got the book Count Your way Through Germany into my library via interlibrary loan. I will pick it up today.

If your origin is swedish/irish - why do you have a problem with supporting your children with swedish culture? Where are your parents?

It's mostly like that about US-Americans. Once a guy told me that he is from germand and danish descent. So i asked him in which division they fought in the 2nd World War. So he said "I dont know:" Then i asked "Why?" Then he said, tha this fathers great-grandfather was german.

It's just the Issue that US-Americans start nowadays to seek for their heritage in europe because they can't identify theirselves with the USA. That's just my theory.

I'm not sure if it exists in the USA. But i really enjoyed watching it on german tv and read books of it when i was around 3or 5 years old.




It shows also german habits, even tough they are dwarfs.
