This is a Celtic forum, I'm sure obviously many of the people who post here are big fans of traditional Celtic folk music. I sure am! What bands or artists in particular are your favorite of them all?
I have to say that my all time favorite Celtic band is the Scottish group Old Blind Dogs.

For over ten years now, the Old Blind Dogs have stood at the leading edge of the roots revival that has both reawakened and revolutionised Scottish folk music.
Combining a deep appreciation of ancient traditions with a highly contemporary, dynamically cosmopolitan musical approach, their uniquely distinctive arrangements of ballads, airs, and dance-tunes put the sounds of their homeland firmly on the world music map.
You can also listen to songs from their latest albums. My favorite album of theirs is "the World's Room", especially the first song "To the Beggin' I will go", which also happens to be my favorite song done by the.

I also love their version of Robert Burns' "Is there for honest Poverty" from their album "Fit?" http://www.greenlinnet.com/shopping/...ProductID=1003
I also very much like the Chieftains. Clannad is another group I like.
