To start:
Mine is from (ahem) the Jimi Hendrix song, Foxy Lady. What can I say, I love hearing a legendary guitar player. I heard the song first when I was a teenager, dancing around my room to the radio ... I changed the spelling to give it a bit of an Old English look, and to make it unique on the net.

Oh and mine is a Celtic warrior woman's name :-D
Mine is named after Alexander Sergeyevitch Pushkin, Russia's greatest poet and father of Russian literature. I also have a picture of him as my avatar.
Why Pushkin? Well, personally he's my favorite poet and he respresents so much of the Russian soul. Plus by reading about his life and personality, I notice certain similarities between him and myself.

Before saying about my nick I would first want to say that the course the English took creating and building an empire by dominating and controlling other peoples was a disastrous thing; the English are far away from facing the harm they reeked. Everyone would have been better off had they not gone that route. I do think it is possible to separate one's culture from one's actions in the same manner some might like aspects of Rome (as I do), but not the slavery they had (as I don't).
Having said that, I have a certain fondness for a great deal of the imagery of the English and am a bit of an Anglophile. I love the names the English come up with like Strangeways, Pickwick, Long Barn, Pall Mall, to name a few; read Dickens and you will see what I mean. ;-) The Englsih humor as well I find quite amusing. So I checked an index from a book an ran into the Rt. Hnr. William Gladstone MP; Gladstone had a positive sound to it and tho he turned out to be Scottish in ancestry that's just as well(which fits into my family claim of having A Welsh side-Celtic as the Scotts are). Also he seems to have been quite the honorable sort, something I find very worthy in a person. So I went with that name, and that's that.:-)
Turman found a copy of The Graduate, and thought highly enough of the story that he made a movie he considered to be 90-percent faithful to the book.
But Turman and director Mike Nichols made one key adaptation, changing the Braddocks from WASP-y blonde characters into a dark-haired, more ethnic-looking family.

Ralph Fiennes as Amon Goeth / the real Amon Goeth
I chose my name while I was debating the holocaust with these jews on Yahoo clubs who were talking about "Schindler's List" a lot. So I became Lady Goeth just to piss them off a bit. Also I like Ralph Fiennes!33 is just a lucky number.

I was classified by several folk as Faelid/Dalonordic....so I took 'dalonord' as I like the way it sounds.
"Evgenni Onegin" is his most famous novel and probally the one you'll be most likely to find. I could also recomend his play "Boris Godunov", which was later made into an opera by Mussogorsky.
I ve only read "Dama Pika" so far, and i got a positive impression for him.
