    Cool Post Your Own Music!

I know that some people here at tNP play instruments - and maybe some of you have also recorded some of their music already. Please share your songs with us! This is the right place.

Okay... here's a few songs from me. It's rather old stuff, though, but they were the only things I had mixed down and recorded onto CD (which I compressed to .mp3 so I could share them).

All of these songs were recorded when I was 16 (5 years ago! :O I getting old!), and they're some of the first songs that I had written all by myself... The songs seem rather now, compared with what I'm playing these days, but the recordings are pretty good and my guitar playing isn't so horrible, either.

On all tracks I play all guitars; lead solos/harmonies, rythm and bass, and my brother is the one playing the drums. If they seem somewhat boring, it's because there's supposed to be vocals filling in the gaps.

Okay, THIS is still a really great Heavy Metal song... I don't care what anyone else says. The best part is when the acoustic part comes in and the drums go into this sort of military-style drumming, which the solo follows... I remember how fun it was recording this one with my bro.

THIS next one is kind of cheesy... but I spent probably 10 hours double-tracking each guitar part which, at the time, made it a labor of love. My brother also shouts "night stalker" part way into the song... I can't even remember why he did it, but I know I was very pissed because he screwed the recording up and refused to re-track his drums. He was always sabotaging me.

I wrote this song, called My Nightmare, after a very close friend of mine died from a heroin overdose... It was her story; or my version of it. At the time, music was my only coping mechanism for the grief, sadness, and guilt that I felt over her passing... Even all these years later, hearing this song takes me back to when she was still here, so this one has always been special for me.

I like THIS song because of the guitar I used on the intro... I don't necessarily like the way I wrote it, I just love the guitar it was played on. I used this incredible, old Martin acoustic that used to belong to my grandpa, and will someday be mine. And I also like the part toward the last 30 seconds of the song... It's a very pretty dual harmony phrasing, but it sounds totally like Iron Maiden. Back then, I was so completely obesessed with them.

Ah, okay... that's enough. If any of you decide to download these, I hope you like them. I've never shared these with anyone else, except my dad and brother, so I'm kind of stepping out on a limb here with this.

The "My Nightmare" link is broken, but the other songs are great! You really know how to play the guitar, eh? And very nice and clear recordings. If you don't mind I'll keep them in my playlist.

Coming from you, that's quite a compliment. You are a very talented musician, as well. Girl Power!

Where I lived when I recorded these, our whole basement was a recording studio... My brother did all the tech work, I just strum the guitars. And if you want them in your playlist, by all means go ahead! That's quite flattering.

Alright, as to my music...I ill upload when I can show some decent stuff...

    as:

1)The Jollies - Me and a friend were 11 years old, we recorded two old-school rock tracks. Too embarrassing, for the high, still unbroken voice is me, the one at breaking at the time, my friend. Featured me on drums, vocals and guitars.

2)Neverland - We wrote seven songs, but never recorded any before we broke up again. Featured me on bass, and backing vocals

3)Die Polnischen Fickfrisösen (sorry for the band name ) - Me and my best friend doing grindcore when we were 15. Embarassing but fun. Too embarassing to post. Feature me on bass and vocals.

4)Goretroll - Yup, my best friend's solo project. I played the bass on "Seven Nation Army" (one of the tracks on "Blood Fest"), not a very good cover, the solo at the end sucks but I had to put it in. Featured me on bass, as already said.

5)Artheon - We recorded "In The Face Of Gods", but the sound quality is so shyte that it's too embarassing, the quality is even worse than Gorgoroth's "Pentagram" album. Plus, I've take the rights of Artheon and re-written the song. Featured me on guitars, would have also featured me on vocals.

6)Hliðskjálf - I've written the material, but I've not recorded it (no drummer for it, amongst others). I'll sure post one track or the other when it is done. Features me on guitars, synths and vocals. [When finished, I'll probably upload "In The Face Of Gods", "Blod Och Jord" and "I Natt I Skog" or "Das Deutsche Blut"]

Until then, ahoj, lads, and you'll have to live without Sig's contributions.

@Enhjørning: !!!!! These songs are beautiful! Mistress of the art, I'd say!!!!!

    (Damn, i'm outskilled by a woman... )

@BW: if you're as raw as your guitars, then I'm welled served staying outwith a 500 km circle of Vienna... good artist expression, there, too!

PS: Do either of you mind, if I keep the tracks?
