I've played guitar more or less actively for three years, although I can't say I've progressed much during the last year. I'm not really interested in technicalities and the songs that I've recorded reflect that fact, as well. Due to being the lazy boy I am, I haven't bought proper recording equipment and so the guitars are recorded with just placing the mic in front of the 10W amp heaving with power.

Yö On Nyt Herra (Night Is Now The Lord)

Heh, the name appears rather crude, but so is the song. Expect a bit of hiss.

    Sade Tulee (The Rain Arrives)

A short song inspired by this photo.

    Hiljaisuus (Silence)

Ooh, drumming there! Quite minimal though, as more wouldn't be necessary. I've probably spent the most time on this song.

@ Enhjørning: All links of Gagnraad work when you copy the link to the browser without the "anonym"-part.

@ Frost: GREAT! Very dark, very raw. Absolutely GREAT stuff!

@ Gagnraad: Also VERY GREAT stuff, especially like your screaming voice.

@ brian: Folk/Neofolkish one, reminds me of somewhat, that I can't remember at the moment. From the style I mean. GREAT one - makes me humming to it even while hearing it for the first time.

Hehe; I think I listen to them too much.

That little ditty was written when I was only listening to Jethro Tull. That band is partly motivating me to learn the flute.

Thanks for the compliments, coming from those light years ahead of me musically.

Hey Brian! Cool music! Not what I usually listen too, but very good indeed. Great work

All of you's good stuff. Frosty, I especially like your Hiljaisuus one. The second one of you Gagnraad, pretty rocks, too. Brian, I've not been able to listen to it yet, it tells me that there are too many people downloading ATM.

Anyway, I wanted to record the guitar tracks of "I Natt I Skog" and of "In The Face Of Gods" for the lot of yous with my laptop. Sadly enough, within the try, 3 (!) of my guitar strings tore, and when replacing them, the tuner wouldn't work due to being out of battery. Lastly, a fourth one (!) tore (some of these strings have been on there for the whole 9 months that I've had this guitar!), so now I have to buy another set of strings, for it was one I don't have for replacement. Sorry, folks.
Plus, restringing a guitar with a double locking Floyd Rose is always a tedious affair. eyes:

    Hehe, shit happens Sig
So you've only played for 9 months? Or?
I have played for about 10 months with my guitar and 6 months with my bass(except when I sang in Nidarosdomens boys-choir and played violin, and that's for some couple of years ago)

Ahh, man, that stinks! What luck to have three of them popping.

I look forward to listening to your music when you finally get a chance to post it.

Another song I recorded is posted below. I like the other one better, but this is okay. It's a little longer. I think when I wrote it, I was copying the chords from pink floyd's "welcome to the machine." Same disclaimers apply (poor singing with faux accent, poor guitaring, etc.)

ouch, i used to have a guitar with a floyd rose, and i loathed every time i restrung it...i usually had to get my father to help me. after the headstock broke, in an unfortunate accident(seriously), i got a cheap guitar with a standard bar tremelo, the next guitar i get is going to be an epiphone les paul.
