    ... or the English Heathen Front. Just stay away from New Age Heathen Groups groups which are very easy to identify for all members give themselves new nordic names like "Thorleif Oðínnsson" and "Solveig Grettirsdóttir".

    I would only join an organization that:

    - doesn't view Heathenism as a political statement (quite particularly a leftist to extreme leftist one, and also one with particularly racist ideologies attached to it);
    - doesn't view Heathenism as a contrast to Christianity (posing Christianity as the greatest of all evils in the world);
    - doesn't approach Heathenism as a "personal religious choice", reducing it to mere inidividual religious choices;
    - doesn't make its members look like New Age types, desperate for "other spiritual paths."

    Essentially put, this said organization should not make it like a consumer product. I don't think any of them are, but I'd prefer to make that point.

    Now, I say all of this after reading some of these posts: http://www.irminsul.org/ir/irpoll03.html

    For what it is worth, if the day comes when I start Heathen rites, if someone asks me my religion, I am going to say Lutheran (because I am, as my mum and pop are, as my grandfather and grandmother were on both sides, and so on and so on.)

    [I hope this post didn't sound too angry! ]

    The AHF is pretty good... I like heathen folk (I guess since I know the founder...) but it hasn't really developed into an "orginization yet"

    arktion.org

    Found a website which looks kind of interesting. I don't know anything about it except what I read on that side - but this, I liked very much.

    Have a look yourself here.

    A lot of it looks good and promising, but some other things threw me off. Examples:

    Is there any race/ethnic restriction? No, absolutely not. Anyone of any race at all can join.
    Do I have to be a Pagan/Heathen? Not necessarily. People can join no matter what their faith, or path or belief. However, you need to be aware of our Ethos and Articles and feel assured that this does not create a problem for you.

    Another thing I am weary of is groups who have incorporated certain ideas and/or hierarchical structures borrowed from Christianity.
    Catholics (and Eastern Orthodox, to a lesser degree) borrowed their hierarchy from the Romans, and Protestantism is just bastardized Catholicism (twice-bastardized Roman-ism )

    The Odinic Rite and the HeathenFront are two of the best organizations. The OR is more active, especially in England. I myself prefer the AHF's 'Odalist' worldview.

    So rather than a organization that's "racist" you would become member in one that welcomes non-ethnic europeans?

    Also,how would heathen organizations view christianity you reckon?
