The Simon Dale Hobbit house cost about £3000 to build, it's not too far away from me actually. It has a certain charm.

There would need to be lots and lots of land for farming and this is what I think of when I think of homes with lots of land. This is also what I imagine people would most want to live in... probably because it's what I would most want to live in. It might not be easy to build but these country houses are very substantial.

Traveling in my own luxury home, contrary to the popular saying it's still a big world out there!

I't like to build a nice house like these just out side of the city.

I'd even go for a typical Icelandic farmhouse.

I have quite mixed feelings about my utopian home.
On one hand I love the style of traditional Alsatian houses, both inside and outside, but the fact is that those houses are often very close to other houses, and they often have no garden.

However, I'd love to live in a house like that, maybe one near a forest and with a kitchen garden outside plus an orchard :

One of the other reasons I've got mixed feelings about it is that I'd also like to have "fun" and "original" stuff in my house and garden.

Like a toboggan to go down (a firemen style bar AND a toboggan would be awesome !)

And a real garage with a huge capacity to repair and restore cars.

I hope one day I'll have time and money to conciliate those 2 views and to design my own house (with an architect of course) which would be a subtle mix between tradition/aestheticism and practicality/originality !

Ah and also, I'm quite fond of the red Swedish houses. I'd love to buy of them, if possible down by a lake and close to a forest, it would be great to spend the summer in it for example ! And their prices is often very low !
