I've been known to pluck a string or two

Yes, I play some instruments. I would probably say the guitar is my first love or maybe the ukulele when I was younger. There is definitely a history in the genes for music. My grandfather (mom's side) played a sweet old school organ which he had in his home. He was also very active in the church choir. His favorite song being "How great thou Art" which he loved in bias to his name being Arthur.

On my dad's side was his grandfather (mom's side) known as quite the accordion jammer out Newfoundland way. Then there was my father the longed haired hippie into all the great bands of the 60's, 70's and 80's. It was great having his record collection around when I started getting into that music.

He has a really nice Deluxe Twin Reverb tube amp which I dusted off and got started on. I mostly would describe my sound as folk, blues, pop, and rock. Or maybe you would think it's something new but those are the genres I learned from.

    Accordeon

I learnt to play the Accordeon, but my sense of rythm was atrocious
    . . . it would only serve as a comedy item . . .

I do! I do! I`ve been playing classical piano for.... 12 years now. Im working on finishing up my ARCT with the royal conservatory, then I'll be all done.

In addition to piano, I also play classical flute with the RCM, I played alto and baritone saxophone in school, and clarinet recreationally. Of course, like every other metalhead I tinkered with guitar, drums, and bass. Lol.

I still have dreams to be a concert pianist.

I've playing guitar for almost or over 3 years, I can make really good drum programs with software like Guitar Pro, I can kinda make ambience, atmospheric musi with Frutiy Loops, and I play my vocal chords. I can death growl, pig squeal, inhale scream/growl and use various pitches during it yet I can't sing clean for the life of me or keep a decent rythem while humming lol I actually plan on starting a one-man-band. Brutal Death Metal about war, gore, porn, scene girls, etc... a bunch of odd lyrical themes lol

The first musical instrument I ever played was (like the majority of English schoolchildren ) the recorder.
When I was 7 or 8 I went on to have violin, then viola tuition.
A few years later I played the two above mentioned instruments in my town's youth orchestra, as a teenager.
I also had piano lessons and taught myself the guitar and bass around this time.

Now I concentrate on the keyboard, though I still play the guitar. I also write and record politically orientated music via a digital 8track recorder.

Below is a link to one of my mp3 albums, with CD booklet, if you're interested to what standard of playing I'm currently at. (IMO, competent with the piano/ keyboard, struggling a bit with the guitar ).

    Mainly Piano

I play the piano, and I used to play also the guitar, woodwind recorder (yes, that's an instrument), the bodhran, the cantor (with the intent to eventually go to the Shepard's Pipe). I've always wanted to own a harpsicord and take again organ lessons.
