By high-pitched scream i don't mean King Diamond, but more Burzum or Marduk style raspy vocals.

OK, Burzum style rocks, yeah. If you can do that faultlessly, you're able to do something I can't. I am still having issues with his voice.

My screams can take almost any form too, but I have a special style there. Loud and raspy, from very low (not till Lord Gore, though) to very high (not Dani Filth [ ] though, his voice is gay and not raspy)

I have been playing guitar for two years now and spouted medium-pitched growls. I'm not very proficient in playing and I don't know a bit about musical theory, I just play in homage to nature.

While technicality is a helpful instrument in creating art, placing it in the role of the master and above composition is a folly and results in soulless music, where most value is placed on what neat tricks the artists can do with their instruments without any regard for what actually is the point of that music. In short: pure wankery.

To actually say: I prefer to just play as it goes. I try to create strong raw sounds in cold and grim rememberance and honoring of nature and ancestors.

I've been playing guitar for nearly 14 years, but the last 6 or so years I have been completely devoted to it... been playing bass for just as long, but my being a guitar player, first and foremost, I think makes me a really overly-complicated bassist who can never be content with just pumping out a simple bass line. I've been trying to play drums for the past couple of years but, quite embarassingly, I have absolutely no rythm and find drumming to be the most frustrating and vexing musical pursuit I've ever attempted. I can play several other instruments good enough to get by with, but the guitar has been the only thing that I've ever given my full attention and dedication to.

I wish that I could say that I was in a band, but frankly I just don't know anyone who is into the style of playing that I am... the only one that I know who can keep up with me is my dad, and I'd feel really if I were in a band with my father. I mostly play in the style of (old) Yngwie Malmsteen, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, etc. with a heavy draw on Paganini for inspiration - that neoclassical/metal/shredding type of thing...

I've just never been content with strumming boring chords or the simplicity of a lot of different musical types. My curse is the pursuit for technical perfection and honestly, as much as I love playing guitar, I hate it because I've never had fun doing it... I'm just constantly obsessed with pushing myelf to always be faster and better and... I don't know what else. Maybe when I figure out just what I'm wanting from my music, I will learn to enjoy it a little and give myself a break from all the self-imposed pressure.
"Nature! We are surrounded and embraced by her:
powerless to separate ourselves from her, and powerless to penetrate beyond her.

Without asking, or warning, she snatches us up into her circling dance, and whirls us on until we are tired, and drop from her arms." - Goethe
