How Many of You Play an Instrument?

Have been playing guitar since I was 13, and drums since around 17. Haven't really been as obsessive with it as I was in my earlier years, but it's nice to take up every now and then. Been in a few bands as well over the years, mostly playing different types of metal. Could be very fun and exciting, but at the end of the day you get tired of rehearsing three or four times a week, only to play for free, or a couple of beers if lucky.

Been trying to get into producing electronic music the last few years, which I sort of consider an instrument of its own. It's a refreshing feeling not having to deal with other band members all the time, and all the interpersonal dramas that usually unfolds.

Ever seen bigsby tremolo in strat body? Ry Cooder used to have one ... LOL.
I like hard vibra ... bit like Mike Oldfield.

Plus those pickups are bit unique as well (for strat type of guitar). They are not normal 3* single coin pickups.

Those names are completely unfamiliar to me. The bigsby tremolo is pretty nice, though. Never saw in it in the music scenes I was in, nor I have I gotten to try it out myself.

Plus those pickups are bit unique as well (for strat type of guitar). They are not normal 3* single coin pickups.

Don't think I've seen that before, either. Is there a specific reason for making them that way?

Bigsby is famous of old semi-hallow Gibson's etc.



Principle is bit different vs strat's tremolo or newer floyd rose tremolo .... and so is ''vibra''. I like ''feeling'' and ''control'' of bigsby more.

Don't think I've seen that before, either. Is there a specific reason for making them that way?

The neck and bridge pickups are so called (mini)humbuckers (dual coils). Middle pickup is not standard either. All together? Variations of different tones are much wider vs normal strat.

I had a soft spot for violin when I was a child, but didn't have the chance to learn to play the violin. Only when I was in the last year of high school I had that chance, but I was too busy preparing for the exams.

I played piano when I was little, but it was a very small piano, more like for kids. I wished I've played the drums too, I tried a few times, also in high school, and it was really nice.

My family has some drums made with rein deer skin and goat, they are fun to play around the fire

Sounds nice! More traditional. Guitar is also nice to play around the fire.

Acoustic guitar would be better on that (camp fire), but yes ... there are battery bases small light good amplifiers available.
