I don't wear any make-up most of the time, not even eyeliners. Sometimes I use camouflage when I have pimples and I use the dark pixie wee style every now and then. That's lengthening the dark eyeliner in both directions away from the eyes on each side of the eyes.

I use it when I go out in summer, maybe two or three times per year. I can't use normal make-up on my face because of my goddawn freckles. I hate them on my cheeks and nose area.

I think makeup can help highlight natural beauty too if used with moderation.

I myself don't use makeup much but that's mostly because I'm lazy and feel it's too much work to both put it on and then remove it again. Also my skin prefers having no makeup, so when I do use it it's only some mascara on the eye-lashes. Even if it's very little makeup it does make a huge difference, one really doesn't need much. And my man seems to like it too.

I am far more attracted to women who are natural and not made-up. Some women like to play with makeup, and some are horribly insecure so they just pile it on, but I don't look at motivations. The simple fact is that clean skin is attractive and paint is not. If you asked most men, I wouldn't be surprised to find that they would prefer to kiss the woman, and not the paint.
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.

I have a bit of thing for dark eyeliner because it brings out a girls eyes, especially when they are bright blue, and sometimes some darkish red lipstick can look nice. Generally though I'm very attracted to natural beauty, and can take or leave women in makeup. I also don't see the point of women putting on foundation if she has nice natural skin anyway, foundation makes women look almost lifeless.

Women look better without makeup if, and only if, they happen to be blessed with smooth, clear, even-toned skin. Otherwise they look better with makeup. Just my opinion.

I've never worn makeup in my life. My grandma always spends half an hour everytime she goes out putting it on, and it just doesn't interest me. I agree with earlier posters that too much makeup can distract from natural beauty.

I do have an ongoing problem with acne though, so I use skin products to attend to that. That's basically all I do.

Nothing wrong with freckles, some men find them very attractive. I know of at least one member here that is wild about them.

To me beauty is in the way a woman carries herself. If she is proud and confident of who she is, then in most cases she is beautiful with or without make up.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

    Beauty is energetic.

I know of one woman who everybody says she is the most beautiful. A friend of my wife, who was telling me the same about her. I looked closer at her and found many flaws that made her well not the most beautiful woman around but more looking average.

I wondered about the belief of everyone and saw, she has a special way to carry herself and project self-confidence, dominance, control etc. But by talking to her I figured out she has a lot of fears, she grew up, rejected from her mother in a house for children without parents. She literally had to fight for food (in Russia in the 90's) and had all kind of experiences which made her cool and a-sexual.

So from that I think that it is more a certain energy which people have, something they project somehow, and it makes people believe that a woman is beautiful but when objective standards applied, the whole thing falls apart.

It seems to be some sort of hypnosis. Probably also a strong believe that one is beautiful and not accepting any contrary thoughts.

So that 'beauty' is not natural, but is seen as beauty nevertheless.

I think posture and projection has a lot to do with it.

100 years ago, every girl was told to keep posture (Haltung) and posture has a lot of repercussions to one's psychology. It gives one a different feeling of oneself, one looks differently at one self.

Todays posture is abyssmally bad, especial in the US where to be comfortable is a national pastime.

To see a beauty in relaxed 'comfortable' posture, reduces her beauty.

Uhm yes, people often tell me to like my freckles because they think freckles are nice, uncommon, cute or 'awesome' but there's a difference between having a liking for freckles on other people's skin and having freckles on your own face for all of your life, 24/7. :/ Trust me, it's no fun!

What most people don't know is that they can itch at times, that they can change 'looks' dependent on external or internal circumstances like mood or weather, that they can turn to pimple-like spots who are just fugly, that the skin area around freckles are over-sensitive and threatened by e.g. sun exposure and that there's an increased risk of emerging serious skin diseases in your lifetime.

It's not the best feeling that you have to avoid direct summer sun by all means and that your freckles turn to reddish spots when sweating. And my freckled shoulder turns to a sore battlefield.

At least I'm a bit more comfortable with my looks than in my teenage years. I had complexes.
