Would be interesting to hear his take on the fact that chess tournaments and championships are divided by sex. If it's such a grave offense that the White colored pieces get to have the first move, then why is it okay for women to be discriminated against by being secluded to their own tournaments? Surely, no such thing can be considered fair in the name of 'equality'.

Just go back half a century and think of all the words in common use that folks wouldn't dream of using today. 'Negro' was one of them, and 'cripple' was another but now they'd both be deemed highly offensive. Also, referring to gay men as 'puffs' is now totally unacceptable, as I was recently informed by someone who himself used the term constantly during the 1980's

But, yes you are correct they slowly place thought restrictions on people, that is why I often correlate these things to training oxen you put the yoke on a young ox and slowly increase it's burden until it does not know it is pulling the full weight.
