That's not true. Half of the Ad Perpetuam Gloriam sampler is either noise or dark ambient though. And I suggest dark ambient is just too high for a Manowar fan.

Right, I can't listen to ambient. I get bored very easily.

    Any recommendations?

I've never heard of them but seems like someone's got a good taste of music

    ->black metal, viking metal, neofolk
->what else that i listen to, too...?

any chance that you enjoy stuff like Glittertind, or possibly Ultima Thule, (aka Viking Rock kind of thing) BW?

Glittertind, yes. But I don't like them so much, to be honest only "Mellom Bakkar Og Berg" and "Lindisfarne". Ultima Thule, yes, inspired by PP who sent me a lot of their stuff.

But I'm more into Old School BM (Burzum, Dark Funeral, old Dødheimsgard, Fimbulwinter, Gorgoroth, Massemord, Svartahrid and old Ulver), Viking Metal (Kampfar, Storm, Hades etc.), Symphonic stuff like Summoning and Limbonic Art and of course Neofolk and Industrial. I even listened to some Harsh Noise some years ago, like Brighter Death Now and things like that, but I gave it up after I got almost mad while following their music.

    Start with the following:

    Ambient
Ildjarn: Landscapes, Hardangervidda Pt. I & II
Neptune Towers: Caravans to Empire Algol
    Vidna Obmana: Ending Mirage

    Dark Ambient/Noise
Inade: The Crackling of the Anonymous
    Anenzephalia: Noehaem
    Turbund Sturmwerk: Weltbrand

Contact me personally if you don't know where to get those albums.

Would recommend this recent compilation (probably available for download but not legally) for a bit of a broader historical approach to the genre, includes the original version of 'The Hangman and the Papist' by the Strawbs, and some unreleased Blood Axis...

    Sv: Neofolk Samplers for free

Thanks for the link, but there are a lot of other genres than Neofolk among those bands.
