"The Next Generation" was the only Star Trek series I got into. I was too young for the originial, and the later ones, well, I've just missed them through a combination of indifference and lack of opportunity.

I know Next Generation ran from the late 80's (1886 I believe) till 1994, so it's not a full-blooded 80's classic. Nevertheless, as far as I recall the best seasons were season three and four, which would be right at the very end of the 80's.

Well spotted! But, The Horned God has many faces. Which reminds me it is high time I auditioned a few more of them.

Yes I agree that The Next Generation was quite good, mainly due to great main actors and some good scripts.

Deep Space Nine was crap (Commander Sisko being an african for one, and it also had Whoopi Goldberg :bloed_2: ), and Enterprise pretty lame. Voyager I thought was OK though, one reason being the introduction in series 4 of human/borg Seven of Nine:

I watched the reruns of the original a lot, although uneven, some episodes had excellent stories I thought, although often with a liberal "message", I thought the newer series got progressively worse, with progressively uglier aliens :O

For instance, how did Klingons get so much uglier in the only (supposedly) 2 generations from the original to the 2nd series? :

This series just HAS to be on here. I loved the show, had lots and lots of action figures(ranging from the primitive "soft head" He-Man and Stinkor to Hordak and the Snake Men) and even Castle Grayskull itself.

Many ppl on here seem to have fond memories of this, I wonder if there should be a "He-Man Generation"..?

I wonder that Fawlty Towers has got so little expousure here. Or wasnt that from 80'ies too? Anyway its a great series too, but I would vote first place for Allo Allo.

I used to like the Japanese "Anime" Cartoon Series'.
Two of my favourites were Ulysses 31 and Thunderbirds 2086 (not to be confused with Battle of the Planets)

You can download the intros of Ulysses 31 and Thunderbirds 2086 respectively, here; http://www.sfxb.co.uk/animated/ulysses31.html
