    Post Leptosome Nordid Swedes

These are excellent examples of ordinary leptosome Nordid Swedes.

We often give examples of the older (with all the physical changes that come with it) section of the population. That can give a somewhat flawed picture of the racial condition, but these are young, healthy looking, tall, blonde (more or less), lanky, long-headed, long - and narrow-faced Nordid Swedes.

Very few, if any, can claim that they have ancestors from only a certain region.

They are from different parts of Sweden but I assume that most of their immediate ancestors are from central or southern, rather than the northern part of Sweden.

You can actually find similar examples in all of Svea - and Götaland. The examples shown are here are more of the Göta than Trönder type, but Göta exist further north (according to the Swedish anthropologist Lundman, in for example parts of Dalarne) than where it is named from and is predominant.

Lastly, for your information, most of them are are of a type that is quite typical for Jönköpings län (county). Göteborg (Gothenburg) is not far off. However, it would be a lie to say that you would not find similar faces in Stockholm or Uppsala.

Yeah, you're right. I've forgotten Sweden having a little population (relatively), so genetically is relatively homogenous.

Really some great examples though some show very, very slight admixture (mainly Baltid).

Such purity is probably seldom, even in Sweden I guess.

Nice to see such good examples of the Nordid type in the Swedish youth. You can find them in many parts of Europe as well (probably at least genotypically more mixed), just the numbers aren't that clear...
