Sevastopol is a Crimean city. In Crimea there are a lot of Tatar people. Perhaps like her?Originally Posted by ladygoeth33

what's weird about an Orthodox Ukie?
Also, remember that historically the Khazar Empire north of the Black Sea infused a lot of Turkic blood into the region.Originally Posted by Bernhardt
As far as I remember, the Tatars and the Volga Bulgars are the same people of different religion. Tatars are supposed to be muslim, and the Bulgars are Orthodox.
There are probably some catholic Japanese people born in England, but that doesn't make them English.
As did the rest of East Europe/Balkans and Northern Middle East.Originally Posted by Loki
She looks like a real mongoloid. Perhaps she is Tatar or Russian, but that is just a nationality and all east europe have some mongol remnants. I'd say he ancestry is most likely Tatar...as Tatars do live NORTH of Crimea (Crimea was a Byzantinian region settled by Laz, Greeks, Armenians, Georgians, and others of the likes). Often times its confused with Tatarstan or Khanaits. Crimea existed way before the enstatement of Kiev or Ukraine. Jason and the Argonauts were said to have passed through there, one of Jasons men was said to have founded it, such as Armenos "founded" Armenia, and Sakaros (Sekari/Sakari) founded Georgia.
There are many Orthodox Tatars, as well as Jewish ones. The Tatars, likes the Caucasians etc have many different religions but are not generally religious people, as theyre religions changed depending on the conditions of the ruling class.Originally Posted by AWAR
I think someone can be Ukrainian or Russian and be racially a Turanid. It is humanly possible!
Of course it is, but it's not common.
