His type is quite common in some parts of Northern and Western France.

I would assume right across the Channel the French would be quite Nordid.
But parts of Western France were once German Territory.

It is likely that Nordid types are to be found more frequently in Normandy and Bretagne rather than elsewhere in the country. One reason for that is that invading Kelts and Germanics not only settled those places but also pushed Alpinids or other types they met out of their settlements.

No, you mistake Western for Eastern. Germanic tribes settled mostly in northern and eastern France, and those areas are the most blond and Nordish.

I agree with Normandy but not Brittany. The Bretons are at least partially related to the Cornish people. They are not particularly blonde, in fact predominantly brunette, quite short, and are racially, essentially a pre-Celtic people. Lundman also saw North-Atlantid in Brittany, whom fled from southeastern England during the early Middle Ages. It's about the same as Atlanto-Mediterranid and is not to be confused with the Iron Age Keltic Nordic type so common among the Belgae and Celtae who had a strong influence in southeastern England.

There's also an eastern, short-skulled and high-skulled dark strain of Litoroid in both Cornwall and Brittany (also Gironde to some extent).

Northeastern France is probably the lightest region of the country. But it rarely comes with long-headedness. Really light hair is very uncommon in France. Northeastern France is both Nordid-Alpinid and strongly Dinarid (more in eastern France). Western France is supposedly only occasionally Nordid and predominantly Mediterranid (and Alpinid).

Between the Paris basin and Rhine is a zone of people with mixed allegiances. Language is not enough to distinguish them. It's more complex than that.

The Franks also modified the the Romanised language of the Gauls. They made langue d'oil the modern French. The dialect found in the south, langue d 'oc is less altered, an older form.

Langue d'oïl is not the same as modern French. Langue d'oïl is a pre-revolutionnary speech which could much easier be compare to Québecois or Acadien than modern Parisian French which was altered drastically by the revolution.

As for Normandy and dolicocephaly, it is not all as rare as you might think. If I can dig up the approximation I will post them.

As for the Bretons, they are Celtic, that is for sure. As for the hair colour of the ancient Celts, it could very well have been brunette as they were known for bleaching their hair during times when records of such would have been made. You have to realise that the majority of what we call "Celts" today are not so.
